Lisa, I hope you come out with an eyeshadow primer with mineral spf! (Or even a regular primer that doubles as an eyeshadow primer with spf)... It's really hard to find a sunscreen to go on eyelids that doesn't mess with eyeshadow.. make eyes water like crazy.. or just isn't too greasy etc.!

I own a copy of your book, Lisa; it was quite a shock to read about what people did to themselves! I don’t remember if you wrote about it but I wonder how or if people created that vivid auburn or orange/red shade if they didn’t have it naturally. Dyed red hair possibly wouldn’t have had the beautiful array of warm shades we see in natural hair and coloured hair today, and may have resulted in red Lego hair 😱

henna, if the hair is light. it's what lucille ball used. the natural variations of color in the hair are maintained as it's a permanent color deposit on top of the existing hair color, however, which actually produces quite complex results.

Didn't a lot of hairdye contain lead until quite recently...? I seem to remember Erin Parsons mentioning that... What does the silver nitrate do that's so harmful?
@LisaEldridge
@LisaEldridge 13 күн бұрын
Its a corrosive so could burn skin and could also cause nausea, fatigue, dizziness etc. High levels in the blood stream could result in blue staining of the skin and lips with prolonged use leading to staining of the internal organs and kidney damage 😱
