Sounds exactly like Halloween Ends. Copycat killer, town turns on Corey, idolizes Michael. Key plot is there but subtle differences.

The difference is Michael Myers isn't some weakling like in Ends, in this script he still is very powerfully dangerous and you see more of him, unlike Ends in which very little is shown of Michael Myers and the fact they made him weak did not make things better. Personally I am not a fan of any form of evil transferring to another character, making Michael Myers himself weak as a result, which I often think to myself of that possibility going through had the Curse of Thorn ceremony in Halloween 6 Producer's Cut went through undisrupted by Tommy Doyle. So yeah the any form of curse being the sole clear reason for why Michael Myers kills and is supernaturally strong and Semi-Immortal is not something I can ever get behind, especially after seeing it in Halloween Ends, I would also feel the same uneased and pissed that Michael Myers isn't the Shape we know of anymore by him being weak because of no curse.

@@PlanetCHH This is a great video as well. I would not have liked this Halloween 7: Two Faces of Evil idea (especially going straight to video at the time...might have even killed the series). I loved H20. Halloween H20 is in my top 4 of the franchise. My only issue with H20 (aside from the mask) was that a lot of people push that it's a separate timeline from the first 6 films. At least they give an explanation to where she has been since Halloween II and why they said she died in Halloween 4. Oh and while I have grown to accept and like it, "H20" is kinda a stupid title.

I like the idea but I'd change the magician character with Lonnie. Perhaps the whole town is afraid of Michael yet because Lonnie was spared by Michael in the original film, he becomes fascinated with Michael. It's revealed at the end he's become the copycat.

Yeah sounds a lot like Ends. I hate Ends because of how weak Michael was and the unsubtlety of the way David Gordon Green & Danny McBride went with the story, plus the same poor Halloween Resurrection-Like treatment of Michael Myers. Atleast this script Michael Myers is still highly threatening needing desperately of being taken down and the copycat killer inspired by Michael Myers isn't beating Michael up taking his mask from him easily, also Michael does not spare his copycat like a weakling like in Halloween Ends, as clearly here the copycat killer Gabe does not ever get close physically to Michael Myers to then be literally spared like Corey in Ends. So yeah this Halloween 7: Two Faces of Evil script is a much better, strong, way more believable, and subtle version of Halloween Ends.

This idea is not bad at all it's probably better than what we got with H20 Vestron has put out a lot of straight to video movies that were really good but I know the Hellraiser ones were not so the movie might have been really good we will never know

I was thinking of those Hellraiser sequels as well. Deader I thought was kind of cool but Hellworld was awful. I later learned from other KZbinrs that those were not even Hellraiser scripts and were retconned to fit that series

Ya know him constantly finding "his" mask, which is a one of a kind, has always been a problem with believability. His "super powers" such as stopping his own pulse, with no explanation, is a problem too. Not impressed with this one. The one set in the big city where Myers falls into the water from the helicopter sounds way better.

"Does the idea of a straight to video Halloween scare you?' In a mid 90's context...........Pumpkinhead 2, Pet Semetary 2, Ticks, Return of the living dead 3....no, not really. Was The fly part 2 also direct to video? I imagine it was. Overall, not bad. Interesting. I personally don't like the idea of Michael just dying in his jail cell for absolutely no reason. Maybe was simply pretending. Sounds like it could of been good.

That theatrical cut of H6 was just awful. I saw the producer's cut in 95 and it was such a great film. All they had to do was tweak it a bit but they butchered it instead. I liked H20 but was always disappointed though the storyline of Thorn was chucked and never developed further
