This information is not a real shocker for me because I always felt that Bruce Lee was always conveying that Big Bro vibe through is film roles, writings and teachings.Despite the negative environmental he grew up in, he used it to his advantage and scraped away the negative aspects of it. Just like a good Big Brother he always empowered you and made you feel like you could conquer the world, but you had to put in the hard work and DISCIPLINE.He’s definitely someone who didn’t mind being a POSITIVE role- model.

Most of the stories about lee are fairy tales. He was in lasalle and then xavier because they were decent catholic schools and he was from a privileged background. If they just tell the story of a nomal upper middle class kid being raised to become an entertainer, it isn't the ingredients of legends.

Actually this bike chains and pockets knives are true even till the 80s. They don't use the knives, (it's for show) but that doesn't stop a dumb kid who didn't know that. I know this because i was in such schools, the groups of "gangs" are no different than the grease head biker gangs in American high schools... Who also happened to use BIKE CHAINS AND POCKET KNIVES!
