Wow! Chevy Dude I am going to be sharing this video with my 33 going on 34 year-old son who has been working at Carvanna here in Northeast Ohio as a manager of the “car delivery department “ as my son calls it, that picks up customers cars the company purchased and also delivers cars bought by customers for the past 2 years. I knew this car company was to good to bed true when my son was first hired because he was promised a starting salary of $105,000 per year , but after getting hired found out that his starting salary was only $65,000 per year, but it would go up to $105,000 per year automatically after completing 6 months on the job which he completed with stellar performance reviews. But his salary never increased in the past two years to the promised $105,000 per year. My son even told me this Christmas that just passed that after two years on the job with Carvanna he is actively looking for another job , because as my son said the employee turnover rate is higher he says than when he used to work at Starbucks as a manager years ago. Hopefully sharing this video will get my son moving faster to get another job and get away from Carvanna before the company goes up in flames just like the Pacific Palisades neighborhood in L.A. did this week. Thanks Chevy Dude for doing this video.

Carvana, based on the Hindenburg Report, is a shell game pair with Drive Time. They're moving money all over trying to look profitable short-term, and when they both collapse, the top bosses will take the money and run, as usual.

when tesla came out selling direct to customers all those years back, I thought the industry would follow suit fs. Shame it didn't, MFGs could make more money dealing with as few middlemen as possible.
@ChevyDude5 сағат бұрын
The term “stealerships” is often used by individuals who regret their purchase decisions but overlook their own role in the process. It’s important to understand that no dealership forces customers into signing agreements-they present options, and the customer ultimately decides. While overpaying can happen with any purchase, from groceries to phones, car buying stands out because it’s a less frequent transaction. Unlike everyday purchases, the infrequency of buying a vehicle can make it feel more intimidating or impactful, amplifying regret if the buyer feels they didn’t get a good deal. My mission is to help people become confident and informed car buyers by providing clear, fact-based advice. By preparing and basing decisions on knowledge rather than emotion, you can approach the car-buying process with confidence, avoiding common pitfalls and feeling secure in your choices. Education is the key to making empowered decisions for these significant, infrequent purchases.

If dealers would state their out the door prices they would be thought better of. After you buy a car for a stated price then you have to fight tooth and nail with the finance manager to get out the door for little money. It's the biggest profit center for the dealer and deceptive to the consumer.

Every state (maybe city or even county) has different taxes and tags, dealers can't put out the door online. Yes finance is the biggest profit center for the sales department, but if you aren't getting your out the door number before going into finance, you are at the wrong dealer.

My recent Carvana purchase had undisclosed issues such as an airbag light, body/paint damage and incorrect mileage. Luckily I could return it for a complete refund. (Shipping costs don't get refunded, but my purchase was already at the location.) Humorously the small woman that came in the big carvana flatbed to retrieve it couldn't drive a manual so she had to call a tow truck to retrieve it instead, but she refused to leave the keys for him so he basically had to repossess the car from my driveway. (She also dangerously left the car in neutral in my driveway.) If that's how they do business with everyone now, you should probably steer clear. I had a great experience with them 9 years ago, but things have definitely changed.

Sold my wife's car to Carvana almost four years ago, because they gave us the highest quote. Took their written quote to the dealer where we were buying new, but the new car dealer said they couldn't match the Carvana quote, with the price we had negotiated on the new car we were buying from them. When we turned the car over to the local Carvana place with the gimmicky vending machine tower, it was an easy in-and-out in less than 30 minutes, no hassles. I don't think I would buy from them, though. Sometimes, buyers are looking for a specific year/make/model/color/configuration, and I guess the Carvana business model works for them.

Bought my first car from Carvana back in 2019. Loved that car but it turned out to be a lemon. The driver side window literally fell INTO the door 2 months later, the front bumper completely fell off 1 year later(both brackets broke), my head gasket blew 2 years later, the car had a clicking noise from day one that later turned out to be rod knock, and to sum it all up the car had previous unreported frame damage on the back side panel that was painted over and poorly patched up. I ended up just paying off the car within 3 years of having it because it became un-driveable. never AGAIN. It’s a scam. I sold my car to Carvana because they gave me the best deal price car. I used that as a trade-in for one of their cars. The car I got from them was something else. It looked like it was washed and quickly wiped down. I returned the vehicle to them for multiple issues (transmission issue, oil change, rust, gas tank not full, and a few others.) They took their car back, but it took 5 days to get the check for my trade-in. I also discovered that the check they gave me was not a cashier's. From what I understand, once you deposit the check into the bank, your bank will request the money from their bank, but Carvana does not keep funds in the account. Carvana funds the account once the money is asked for. This means delays. Your bank puts a hold on the check until it clears their bank. At least, that is my understanding of the process. It took me 10 days to get the money for my car. I was lucky that I had the cash to buy another car while waiting for the Carvana check to clear.

Used car dealerships will never go away, but being able to order a new vehicle from the factory, not pay a middleman to add a bunch of useless fees, and just pay a destination fee is a huge win for consumers. Dealers are useless and outdated when buying new. And they do need to be significantly reigned in (as stellantis is now doing) if they are going to continue being a thing.

Well… guess not to many people care about the report because the stock went down the day it was released and then gained it back the next couple days🤷♂️

I'm just hoping the title comes in from Bridgecrest for the car I just bought from a guy who purchased it through Carvana and financed it through their preferred bank...biting nails.

@@mexicanspec bank check and signature verification certified mail. They're in a state that allows 300% damages if they get sketchy with the title. I'm hoping they realize that and release the title in the time they gave. Luckily I'm traveling for work in the near future so I'm not missing driving the car yet.

Maybe I'm the unicorn experience of carvana. I bought 2015 BMW 528i xdrive low 32,000 mile. My credot was then a 675. 6 percent interest out the door pricing with extended warranty choosing Silver rock. 26,787. For 4 years. 1 major issue after 90 days. Transmission sensor malfunction. Woth silver rock 50 deductible and silver rock paid for 25 dollar a day rental. BMW STILL RUNS GREAT. NO MAJOR ISSUES NO OIL LEAKS. I may 700 a year from maintenance at Awseome Auto Body in Dallas. They do all the mechanic maintenance. Last major repair rt cv axle total cost woth parts 500 cash. It's a 10 year old BMW. Maintenance goes a long way. 187000 miles! Carbmvana did not do me wrong. Sorry 90 percent of others had issues.

So when the company collapses do you think any of the nifty car vending machines will survive? Forget the car company. I think that vending machine concept as a parking garage venture has potential. It looks like it would need to be tweaked in a few consumer safety aspects. But I imagine if you had 3 or 4 of these next to each other on a lot it would work(start with the one then build more). While it might only offer slightly increased yields per square footage. More importantly it would offer a huge level of security knowing something like having your paint damaged or a hit and run happen was not a possibility. This would open these vending machines to be used by those wanting the security in urban areas.

I purchased a Jaguar F type and not only was the car in perfect condition with a 100 day warentee and a 7 day return your car policy , the transaction was as smooth and pleasant then any car I am purchased. The car was a very fair deal and it was as described. It was delivered I look the car over and took it for a spin. No pressure no have to deal with a corrupt salesman. I signed my name and was done. I always thought the company was fishy, always in the news about not getting a title, or people can't get tags for the car. I also think Carmax is fishy as well. Do I have any proof - NO!! It is just a gut feeling I have about Carmax. Especially since they recently stated they are selling cars and surpassing expectations - MMMM - in this market, it has me thinking something is fishy about Carmax.

Was the craziest thing they do is when they’re looking for a certain type of cars when gas was real expensive they were looking for EV‘s and they gave a friend of mine a ridiculous amount of money for a Nissan leaf. I think a lot more than that, the car was valued so everything has to be that’s what he said. He said I’ll take your money, but your books are crooked that they have to be and you know they can’t offer people ridiculous amount of money for a card or looking for and say that they make that kind of money they’re just looking for so we got this huge inventory so they can advertise all these vehicles that they have And like you’re saying the guy that runs the thing you know he’s probably pocketing it all so even when it goes bankrupt that goes under and the government removes their thing they’ll he’ll walk away with billions I also heard that some people were having trouble getting their title from Carvana. It was never mailed to them. Car was registered with their title. They never got the title after the thing you don’t know there was just an issue going on the title or something good video enjoyed it. I’m in Georgia and if I need a car, I search it myself and go to some either local person or a local car dealer I can trust

I've had good experiences with them, I have bought and sold cars with them. It was a bit more expensive but I liked that I didn't have to deal with salespeople and wait hours at a dealership. Their warranty process was great, they paid for a $1500 repair no questions asked.
