Istanbul is fantastic!!!!!!!!!! I'm an American and was blown away by Istanbul two years ago and brought my mother with me this year in May. Utterly amazing. We had tea under an arch of the Valens aqueduct, and of course went to the Hagia Sophia and crossed the Bosphorus. I like that you ignored the people telling you how dangerous it is. That's how I felt when I went to Kazakhstan.

Good video. Ahmed at the beginning you mention "sip on kayran", it's 'Ayran' if you are referring to the refreshing yogurt drink. Later on you mention 'burek': borek (short 'o' sound). There is no such thing as 'simit bread'....simit. @3:10 Taksim may be the "heartbeat of Istanbul"_ located on the European side of the city. @3:12 in the Ottoman Era the site was of the military barracks. Taksim Sq. we see today was built in the 1923; the monument commemorates the founding of the Republic in 1923. @5:29 Istabul Card, as you mention, you found it at Taksim Sq. It is available just about everywhere, at ferry ports; newspaper kiosks; some supermarkets; shopping malls. @6:20 you mention / show 'Vodafone', omitted mention of 'Turkcell' @17:49 "history of Istanbul's maritime culture....how did you come up with that? Please explain what you meant by maritime culture. By the way, the bread of the 'balık ekmek' is not a baguette @18:29 "lookma" correct: lokma (long 'o' sound) / 'loukoumades"= in Greek, same fried dough topped with honey @ '
