Paul preached a message titled: "Christ Became a Curse" (i think He was with G³ Ministries then.) That message had such an effect, i really believe that GOD used Brother Washer to totally maximize my love for the WORD of GOD. At around 25 minutes into the video, he said : " if you want to be used by GOD, then make yourself usable. Throw yourself on your knees in prayer. Throw yourself into The Scriptures until when they cut your veins you bleed scriptures......" I used about a million words to say: i agree. I am stirred by his preaching.

Amen. When I first became a believer (by the grace of God), I was living a sinful life. I knew I was living in sin. I didn't have the willpower to stop, so I prayed to the Lord to help me stop. He did, but He did so in a very extreme way that really hurt me in the short term. I went through trial after trial over the consequences of my past sins, but I did not give up. I recognized that I deserved everything I got. When it was over, I was a better man. I still struggle with the same temptations that caused me to sin back then, but I don't indulge in them. I avoid even being put into that place where temptation can cause me to fall. I'm also much more careful in how I pray. Haha. God is perfect! I'm not, but God loves me and He disciplines me when I mess up, over and over He has. I love Him so much. He loves me infinitely more. Praise God and His Holy name.

In the process of working out my faith in fear and trembling I've learned that it's NOT working but more trusting that the sanctified work of Christ was done in me. Thus by faith I not just received salvation but also receive the grace to walk sin free. But if I try do it myself, I walk in the flesh. Instead I believe I'm already a new creature and by that faith I walk it. So when sin arrives and knock on my door, I can say, no. Because based on what I believe, I'm already free from it, all that's now needed in the face of temptation is to belief it. The working out part is that part where we renew our minds. Where we search scripture and correct our bad believes. The point that Paul is making in Gal 5 about this producing fruit, is based on this. The working out, is us removing lies from our thinking and align it with what the Bible teaches. As you think you are you will be.

This is one of the most powerful and important sermons that all churches need to adhere to. We truly are hurting as the embodiment, especially in America. The "church" I go to is exactly what Pastor is referring to, conforming to society 6 days and being "holy" on Sunday. I am sick and tired of hearing the same music for 45 minutes then listening to a 25 minute fabricated "sermon" that seems to be scripted.

Problem! In both Hebrew and Greek the word sanctification and the associated word group means 'separation for a purpose'. In the NT the word refers to the separation that takes place at conversion. See 1 Cor 6:11. Prof John Murray coined the term definitive sanctification. Sanctification is just that. Our brothers in the video speak of a correct concept but use the wrong word. Of course there must be progressive transformation and growth as in 2 Cor 3:18 and 2Pet 3:18. I am appealing for correct biblical terminology. Failure in this puts aside the wonderful truth of actual sanctification. Look at how Paul refers to the Corinthian church of all churches in 1Cor 1:2!

Folks, becareful. In the parable of the ten virgins it's very clear that they were sleeping (resting in the confidence of Christ) till the cry was made, The Bridegroom cometh rise to, trim your lamps and go out to meet Him. The only work here is trimming the lamp. What does that mean to trim your lamp? Trim the wick so the light shines brighter. How can a lamp trim itself? Jesus Christ trims your lamp not you. Jesus says unless He cleans you you cannot be of His. He didn't say, clean yourself. He cleans and He trims the lamp. We simply abide. Abide in His Rest. The Apostles warned the early church about those coming in with a "works" based doctrine. Don't be fooled.

Let me ask you....DID Noah BUILD THE ARK? According to you, is that work based salvation? ABRAHAM SACRIFICE HIS SON? According to you, is that work based salvation? CHRIST SAID: WHOEVER SHALL COME AFTER ME, LET HIM DENY HIMSWELF, PICK UP THE CROSS AND FOLLOW ME. According to you, is that work based salvation? What do you think it means when Jesus said : He is the vine, we are his branches, and in him we will bear much fruit? What do you think James meant in his Epistle when he said: "Faith without works is dead?" Why do you think Jesus cursed the fig tree after he found NO FIGS on the tree? What is he implying here?

@stephenwan6415 hello, I appreciate your response forsure. I also appreciate your willingness to voice your stand. I hope this doesn't turn into a ungodly conversation. Remember, we don't wrestle against flesh and blood but rather against principalities and powers in high places. So please let's be civil and layout our stand with humbleness and love for Christ that leads us to Truth. In response to your response I notice that you mentioned Noah, Abraham. Notice they were in service to The Most High God during the times of The Old Testaments. Life was work based back then. That was the purpose of The Law. To show man they/we are not capable. Thus why God sent His Son The Mighty Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth to suffer/pay the debt due because of man's inability to walk righteous in the ways of The Law. It wasn't till Christ ( New Testament ) made a way for our salvation through and in Him, otherwise humanity was doomed. He says that He will write those things upon our minds and such, notice He is doing the writing. Also, He The Lord Jesus tells us that we are to enter into His Rest. To come and remain In The Shadow of The Almighty. Do you know what God means when He tells us to "work" out our salvation in fear and trembling? I recommend all who read this go seek this out for yourselves. Like The Mighty King Jesus says, Equipt ourselves that we might stand in the evil day. Does that sound like work? He cleanses us, sanctify us, He dresses us, He prepares us Through The Glorious Holy Spirit to become a chaste bride for The Bridegroom. Anything more than believing is of self. The five foolish virgins were found empty, why? They were full of they're works, The Mighty Lord says our works will be burned up and blow away like chaff. Oh the sweet savor of The Saviour. He is Mighty

@stephenwan6415 about the vinegar. Notice what the branches are doing? Branches just abide on The Vine. @stephenwan6415Ай бұрын
@Roger-ro5vj Point taken, the branches are therefore part n parcel of the vine. So the fruit we carry is Christ's fruit. Here lies the confusion amongst liberals that are not rightly dividing the word. This WORK that regenerated believers bear are wrought through God in the Holy Ghost (at least it ought to be) , otherwise it is no more than DEAD WORKS, (and God will try these works to see whether they be of wood, hay, gold or silver 1 corin 3:12) that the legalistic pharisees were bound by from the mosaic law. Nevertheless, our works of righteousness come AFTER one is saved. These are hallmarks and evidence of a new creature. Galatians 6:15.

Prologue. Your message is excellent. Paul did not write, Ephesians, chapter 2 verse 8. He wrote long complex letters instructing us. After Paul’s death, chapters & verses were added. Chapter 1 verse 5, Paul explained, God adopted us into His family. Therefore Adopted Children cannot earn God’s most precious gift which is eternal life. Throughout Ephesians, Paul repeatedly nicely warned us, just as humans babies are expected to learn to obey their earthly parents, Christians are required to Learn to obey God. God loves us & expects it to take a long time, but again we are to learn. (CEV) Chapter 5 verse 1 Do as God does. After all, you are his dear children.

“There is rest from evil even while in evil, if we understand the purpose of evil.” (Maclaren) God has a purpose in allowing evil. Most Christians reading this right about now are recoiling in horror that I just said such a thing. They will say something like this: "God is not the author of evil, Satan is. God is good all the time and all the time God is good. All bad things come from Satan and all good things come from God and never the twain shall meet." So then God has 50% of the power on earth and Satan has the other 50%? No, God has 100%. Most of the time we cannot understand why there is evil in the world. Why does God allow it, or does He even allow it? Isn't Satan the author of evil and God the author of good? Satan cannot do ANYTHING without God's approval. It is either that or God is not sovereign. So you ask, show me an example in the bible that demonstrates this. Joseph in the OT is a classical example. Sold into slavery by his hateful brothers who lied to their father about him being killed by wild animals to cover their sin, he was falsely charged of attempted rape by his boss's wife, who had him thrown into prison. So what did Joseph finally say to his brothers about this years and years later? Genesis 50:20 "You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people." Another example is none other than our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Arrested and charged with the "crime" of claiming to be the Son of God, given an illegal sham trial, beaten, spit on, mocked, condemned to die, stripped and nailed to a cross. He hung there for three hours and eventually died. All of this happened to Him because it was in God's will! Acts 2:23 "Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, you have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain." This was done by the "determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God"!!! WHAT? GOD knew this tremendous evil was going to happen to His beloved Son and He nothing to stop it? Not only that BUT He knew it was going to happen AND it was all done according to His will????? Yes. Evil has a purpose in God's world.

You mean like your buddy Steveo Lawson?
@user-mx3kh8rj1tАй бұрын
Yes! Steve’s fall has been and continues to be used by God in Steve’s life, in his family members lives, and in the lives of countless Christians. His error and consequence have served to remind us how easy the temptation to behave or speak in unloving ways is ever before us - much like the manner in which your comment expresses wicked condemnation toward these men. I think you have a deep misunderstanding of what true Christians are about. When we speak of sin, we are speaking, generally, about breaking the Ten Commandments. Jesus summed up the Ten Commandments as how to love God (the first 4) and how to love people (the last 6). Your comment, alone, breaks them all and reveals your hate - your sin, my friend. Please understand that the consequence of sin is eternal punishment. All are condemned for not living up to the true love and holiness of God as His Creatures. But He sent His Son, Jesus so that whoever trusts Him who took our punishment for us is forgiven through Justification. And the rest of our lives we are given the ability and desire to glorify God in our thoughts, words, and deeds by loving holiness toward God and people. We learn and grow through Sanctification - the most beautiful gift from God. And we battle against the world, our flesh, and Satan the rest of our lives. From time to time some of us fail in huge ways like Steve Lawson did. But our Father, God , is faithful and Just to forgive us our sins (those failures to uphold and express Biblical love and holiness). I want to encourage you to read the Gospel of John and Matthew, Mark, and Luke. These men were witnesses to the life of Jesus. Jesus is God in human form. He came to save us from the Judgement that is to come. Repent of your sin. Jesus commands all men to turn to Him and be saved. Not only that, but there is no greater adventure than to live in obedience to the living God. Nothing else matters once you come to know Him. Your sin will destroy you, my friend. But God made a way for you to truly live through His Son, Jesus, the Christ. Please read the book of John, Sir. Ask God to open your eyes and heart before you read. But be prepared for God to answer you. May He bless you with the gift of a new heart - one that loves and doesn’t hate. Amen.
