I was able to order everything from tackle warehouse and Went with the Jungle spark color. Kayak fished a small lake near my house and absolutely crushed it using this setup. Caught several really nice largemouth bass. You will catch a ton of small fish as well. I guess that is to be expected considering the size of the hook and worm. Either way, it worked great catching fish. I did. However, lose a lot of those little worms. the full pack of 20 within about an hour. I may be hooking them wrong. Any ideas on keeping that little fella on longer? Thank you for posting this video!

I can just about guarantee that if you put that rig in front of redfish or flounder they'd tear it up. If it smelled right there's zero question. When it gets really cold the redfish get easy to see and tough to catch and small finesse baits worked super slow is the only way to catch them. I'm planning on trying wacky rigs for them. I caught a redfish yesterday on a spinnerbait from Strike King called Redfish Magic. They're neat because they work with any jig head. And I am sure bass would hit them. If you ever want a spinnerbait with no skirt or you want to be able to change the head or soft plastic you might want some of those. It was really cool to see a swirl in the shallow water and cast past it, reel through and catch my first spinnerbait fish.

My luck is I'd stick a 10+lb largemouth with this and break him off or straighten the hook where I live... I did start throwing a wacky rig with a little pegged 1/16oz tungsten weight and the weedless wacky hook from Gamakatsu with those VMC crossover rings and really fell in love with a wacky rig again. On Toledo Bend and Sam Rayburn its hard for me to finesse fish with light line and baits with little hooks knowing I have a legit chance of sticking a 10+lb bass especially when the technique is very slow to fish. That's why I shyed away from throwing a wacky rig outside of spring time but ever since I started throwing it with a little weight its made it a lot easier. I like the fact this is weighted but still using such a small exposed hook would be tough to do but if you just needed a couple fish and couldnt get them to commit to your normal baits I can see where this would play for sure...

just loosen the drag and hope he doesnt go into a tree haha

@@MattStefanFishing I guess it goes back to the age old dilemma you have to worry about getting the bite before you worry about getting them out... It's definitely tough for me just because of where I'm at but I've broken down and incorporated the fairy wands light line and open hook techniques especially since I got livescope. I finally had time to watch the podcast on Castledine's channel it was another good one man...

@@adammitchell3462I disagree it's a gimmick as they're 2 different things. It's an ultra finesse wacky rig which requires a tiny weighted hook with a tiny light worm. As he mentioned, the BOW he's fishing is highly pressured. Also, the weight right at the worm is certainly different from a wacky jig. All of this means it's not an apples to apples comparison thus it can't be a gimmick.
