I'm completely in agreement with you on this one Hap. Not only did she clearly grasp the meaning of the song, she also absolutely nailed it (at 13 let's not forget)! She doesn't belt at the top of her lungs, she doesn't try to show off, no she just puts a little of her own magic touch (angel dust) into it, with full respect for the original artist(as she always do). And the end note is the perfect example of this, if you hadn't known the song as well as you do Hap, you'd be well excused to think that was exactly how Freddy used to end it...

I knew that as a Queen fan you were going to love this one. As with so many songs, nobody can cover it like Angelina. She just seems to "get it" like nobody else. It would be easier to understand if this was a 75 year old that "gets it", but this is a child (only 13 here) that seems to understand things that even adults don't understand. As you pointed out, wearing that mask at the beginning is just one more of the many, many examples of her genius. Basically Hap you were gob smacked as we all are when Angelina belts, and carries a note like that. Remember the ending of "I Put A Spell On You?" She carried that note at age 9 forever too. This rendition was outstanding, no doubt, and only a reminder of what Angelina has become and what she will be in the future. As I like to say, a multi-generational superstar. Thank you for another amazing and emotional reaction of Angelina, as you can see, she does it and does it well, simply 🤩 It's incredible at that age, she sits down and quietly sings a song like this, of this power and makes it a wonderful tribute to Freddie Mercury, with the symbolic opening wearing the mask and the closing with the last high that goes off in the dark. Death is unfortunately a sudden interruption of the show, this is IMO, who wants to communicate to Angelina the abrupt end of the recording, with an incredible understanding of the facts of life, unreal for a girl of that age. When Angelina is doing what she considers a sensitive tribute, she always fades to black at the end, which shows what a kind, thoughtful, and considerate person she is. The first time I heard Angelina do this song, my reaction was similar to yours. WTF! I believe this is her best overall performance: tone, pitch, range, feelings, and incredible breathe control---Flawless! With the backing track, it sounds a bit karaoke, although you won't find a mike like that at the local karaoke bar. But if she did this at the karaoke bar, they would be coming off the street to see what was going on. What amazes me about Angelina is that given her age most of the things that the songs talk about she's never experienced. For instance, I Put A Spell On You. She was nine or 10 when she sang that but she sang it as if she has had that experience in her life. She sings with a depth and maturity that many seasoned performers do not have. Don't expect any stage performance yet, she is 12 in that video. Freddie Mercury was a shy person in the beginning, too. He developed that expressive stage personality you remember years later. For now her voice is more than enough to have cheering crowds on festivals over the world. There is a video from Korea, the crowd was cheering her. If she ever developes the nerve for an expressive stage performance, it will be a hell of a ride.

Yves Harms she will evolve..her confidence is already off the scale..her stage presence is incredible too..even though she isn't demonstrative on stage she does however "command" the audience and the musicians..mostly you can hear a pin drop (EG AGT Bohemian Rhapsody) when she performs...

bloody marvelous! I'm not even British, and i can tell. This leaves me silent, and full of contemplation. She killed this song, now Queen will have to say that they covered her version. She''s taken the song, made it hers, and has opened the door to another dimension. This is a story of her, and what her life has been, and at the same time it's a song of all of our lives, and what it's really like when "The show must go on." And her artistic Talent! That mask she made, with the 'flaking makeup', and the smile that "never fails". It's just an experience out of some other world. I'm gobsmacked, and can only say "Bloody Hell!
