There is no other performer in my 78 years that when I listen to them can take my stress level down from a 10 to 0. I listen to her daily, over and over. Angelina takes us to that place she describes as "endless." She's not alone there. Her voice, her soul, her humility carry us with her. While I love backing music, Angelina is at her best with simple accompaniment, were her voice IS the music. I don't know if she's from the planet "Jazz" for certain, but as one judge on Norske Talenter said, she is truly a gift from the universe. She's just indescribable.

I agree. Whenever I'm having a tough day, I put on Some Angelina 30 minutes before I have to take my Blood Pressure and Voila! normal readings! She came from the planet "Talent" where everyone has some kind of super ability. She lived on the same street as Dimash and around the corner from Tiger Woods. She came in a rocket wrapped in a blanket which her family made into the outfit she wore on AGT, with the leftovers making the mask in the "The Show Must Go On" video. Her only "Kryptonite" is the Hollywood Music Machine.. So far, her family has done a great job shielding her. Hopefully she will never get caught up in it! Show less

One of my favorite comments from another reviewer was: “If Angelina sings your song, she’ll sing it better than you.” That’s absolutely true, in my opinion. I’m old enough to remember both Nancy Sinatra and Cher sing Bang, Bang fifty years ago. I always really liked that song. Angelina’s version-at eight years old-is just stunning. Her ability to convey the emotion and melancholy in her voice and phrasing in this song exceeds that of Cher and Nancy. Her voice, of course, is unique and beautiful, but that’s combined with the ability to interpret lyrics better than any other singer. You can see it in this song, and it only gets better as she gets older. Born to Die, Yellow Brick Road, Bohemian Rhapsody, A Million Years Ago-she grabs you right at the first lines and has your emotions in the palm of her hand.

She does Bang Bang so well. She keeps it right in the grove for the entire performance. She draws the notes out from one word to the next to give it such a smooth feel, and she never has to build it up into something bigger than it should be. Most child performers would feel the need to build this song up into some big belty finishing notes.... but not this little genius. BTW: She was actually 8 on "I'm a fool to want you". It was recorded some time in Feb 2014 and aired in early March.

Even though this was only the semi-finals, The Judges, the Contestants, and the audiences, both studio and at home knew the contest was over and they were just going through the motions until she was crowned in the finals

As you can see, although Angelina is sooo professional and comfortable on stage, she isn't the kind of artist who poses to attract attention. She's very shy and she only cares about her music. Just now when she's 14 she's a little bit more open. Great catch about her breathing technique. When she sings all the "bang bangs", she doesn't catch a breath. It's just one phrase. Also what's outstanding about her at that age and now, is how rich and deep is her lower register. Children usually are more comfortable in their higher register but she has such a wide range, she can sing whatever note she wants :)

Thank you for this new nice reaction Angelina's, this is another splendid interpretation of that fantastic little girl. This song was written by Sonny Bono for Cher and tells of an infantile love that Cher had told him about and it's actually nice to see him sing by another little girl, but she is covering Nancy's Sinatra version. 😊 Angelina, at 8 years old, sings a slowed down and so emotional version, that the judges and the audience had been kidnapped by her voice, as her teeth grew, her confidence with the microphone also increased and her voice gained confidence. ❤️ The young judge Omer Bhatti became friends with Angelina and the family and accompanied Angelina a few times.

Please listen to the original song „the show must go on“ from Queen first. It‘s a masterpiece in itself. If I had to name one single song as my favourite Queen song, it would be „the show must go on“. Tragic, because Freddie was already very sick. His voice was otherworldly. Please react to a lyrics version, not the official video, which is put together from old video snippets, and is just distracting. Angelina Jordan did a very unique and wonderful cover version, but of course her perspective is different.

To me, not all singers are artists. It takes more than just a nice voice, tone and tune. Its his/her ability to evoke tons of emotions when the song calls for it. Or jolly, or growling depending on the beat and genre of the song. Angelina can sing fast, slow, jazzy or any song, old or new, that she feels she can interpret in some other way without disrespecting the original. And she always kills 'em even sans any high-tech equipment found in sophisticated studios. She even changes a few lyrics when necessary. And most importantly - she can capture her audience's undivided attention, you can hear a pin drop, like this one. Goosebumps, chills and tears are pretty much a-common among her live audiences or KZbin viewers. And one more thing - I bet any one who discovers Angelina Jordan for the first time is kinda moved to replay the song or try to search for more to validate his first impression - only to be captivated even more! ~ Based on experience way back 2 years ago from this 66 years old Filipino.

Angelina is covering Nancy Sinatra's acoustic version of this song that Sonny Bono wrote in 1966 for his then wife Cher. This was the semi-finals, and the public voting started here. She was already the darling of Norway, and the voting wasn't even close; she garnered also half of all the votes that were cast, leaving all the other contestants to split up the other half. After singing "Summertime" next, she won the show by a landslide. Then she promptly donated the purse (about $80K) to charity. I assure you, this little girl is the total package: immensely talented, kind, humble, generous, humorous, unpretentious, focused, determined, dedicated, smart, and beautiful inside and out. She is deserving of every good thing that happens to her. And I'm glad you found her. 😎💕

Great comments, you are the only reactor to say she doesn't care about money & fame, just the music & how she makes people happy through her singing. When she won NGT & was asked what she wanted to to with the money, she said she wanted to donate it to children who don't have shoes or clothes to wear. At 9 she wrote a children's book, "Between Two Hearts," about her giving her shoes to another little girl who didn't have any. She was 6 at the time when she vowed she would never sing in public until all the children of the World have shoes. She has stuck to that ever since. If you want to see her shoes, you have to watch her rehearsals. BTW, she donated the proceeds of her book to children's causes. Her singing at charity events has raised millions of dollars for children's causes. She is a real humanitarian as well as a world-class vocal artist.

Sometimes she'll do a series of phrases with a single breath that just seem impossible. Occasionally even for no apparent reason artistically, just to prove that she can. Like others belt high notes. Or perhaps testing the effectiveness on her audience? It wouldn't surprise me if she's advanced to the stage where she is measuring audience reactions to various stylistic choices already.

Sorry but it's not "just the music". She has made it known since age three that she wants to be a superstar. If you're confident in you talent and work at you craft (a boatload of natural instinct doesn't hurt) you have a shot at superstardom. Music is her world but superstar is her goal.
