I love snowboarding too it’s a major winter activity here in Vancouver. I know a buddy with CSIA certificate who went to China to work at some ski resort in the north, he’s doing really well financially in comparison to working in Vancouver, considering the high cost of living here and competitions. I think China is catching on snow sports really fast in recent years.

You can find many things that are different from other cities. You can go to a landmark building in Shenzhen called Kingkey100 Tower, which is a 100-story building. Go to the 99th floor to have a buffet and see many views of the city of Shenzhen. You can also go to a very comfortable park in Shenzhen: Xianhu Botanical Garden, to see fossils dating back 135 million years and many different types of plants. Enjoy your journey of exploration!

The scenery of Southern Xinjiang in this season is stunning. I would also recommend Dali and Lijiang, both in Yunan province. Also Jiuzhaigou and event west of Sichuan province has great nature sceneries

I think you guys could try using the MeiTuan Bike, you'll see more with a bike to get around! Also remember to try Cantonese cuisine (such as Cantonese Poached Chicken or Char siu), Teochew cuisine (such as beef meatballs or casserole congee), and Hakka cuisine (such as salt-baked chicken or stuffed bean curd), all three of which are Cantonese dishes.

There are a lot of hiking trails outside of Shenzhen that are less than an hour away. Also can go to Eastern side facing South where there are beaches and wet lands. I was there a few years back, hiking up the mountains and at a resort. There is also an old city fort from the Song dynasty ( Southern fort ) at the Eastern side. For arts, there is an art "village" in Shenzhen. used to be a remote area at my first visit there but now accessible by metro.
