I cried from about minute 6 onward to the end. Can you imagine the pain Yahushua faced seeing HIS own FATHER having to turn away from viewing our Messiah when the sin of the world was placed on HIM ??? And ABBA Father showed me this... This voluntary sacrifice of our Messiah as the Lamb started and ended with HIS BLOOD being shed, first mixed with HIS sweat/water as HE prayed in the garden, and then ended with HIS BLOOD mixed with water upon being pierced at crucifixion. A Covenant is ONLY effective when there is a death/blood sacrifice, and without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sin (Hebrews 9:22...all of Chapter 9). Yahushua Messiah took our sins on HIMSELF as HE prayed for HIMSELF in this Garden Battle. Satan's attacks here were to tempt Messiah NOT to go through with this task. I have been trying to fit 3 days and 3 nights between Friday and Sunday all my life. Until I learned the truth. It started to with keeping the feast. Humm I wonder what day that will be that no man knows and I will be on my roof top? Oh yeah Yom Terah, with the shout ! Of trumpets and the voice of angels. Good Friday is Catholic Dogma, Jesus did not die on a Friday. The answer is in John. What people dont understand that a "Holy day" was a Sabbath. So Pentecost was a Sabbath. Not the weekly Sabbath. People dont OBEY as they are commanded to STUDY to show themselves approved, they would rather follow a mans teaching. Their is more to it, but Ill leave that for you to find out. God bless.

The name Yeshua is a corrupted mutilated form of our saviors name Yahushua, Yahshua for short. Yeshua takes out the father's name "Yah" from his sons name Yahushua. Yahushua means "Yah is salvation". But the name Yeshua was made to prevent people from speaking the father's name Yah'uwah. Becuase it was a Jewish rabbinical traditional law created by the Jewish rabbi religious leaders of the 1st and 2nd century CE, it was a man made law the was created to keep men from saying Yahuwahs name. They claimed that they didn't want it being uttered aloud becuase they were "Afraid" of people using it in "Blasphemy". So in order to prevent this, his name was not aloud to be spoken. This in turn kept people from saying the true name of Yahushua the son of Yah our savior becuase in his name he welded the name of his father because he hath come in his father's name (John 5:43) this happened when the Masoretes (Jewish scribe - scholars) (traditionalists) between the 6th and 10th century CE were following the even more ancient rabbinical Jewish traditional law of not being able to utter aloud the name of the father Yahuwah. Only the high standard Jewish religious leaders could speak of the name in their secret religious gatherings. Thus therefore these Masoretes changed the vowel points in the name of our savior Yahushua/Yahshua from an "ahh" sound to an "ebb" sound thus then taking out the name of our creator Yah from its original meaning, "Yah is salvation" to just meaning salvation. Not only this but the same Jewish rabbi Leaders also thought to degrade our saviors name by making an acronym of it being "Yeshu" meaning Yemach Shmo u'Zikro" in hebrew meaning "May his name be blotted out from the book of life". (Acronyms are abbreviated messages like how SCUBA means "self-contained underwater breathing apparatus") this "Yeshu" acronym is the real root of the name Jesus after going through Greek then latin. The true name of our savior is Yahushua or Yahshua for short.

Nowhere in any of the Gospels does it states that the Messiah rose at dawn or early in the morning. It only states that the tomb was found empty early in the morning.

I agree 100%. Mtt16:9 is always used to support first day of a week resurrection. Greek did not use punctuation. You can look at all the different translations, and if you change the comma in the sentence it will state that he was risen and appeared to Mary on the first day of the week. Not that he rose the first day of the week. Scribes who translated original scriptures we're not Jews and didn't understand that God' feasts, Four of them which were sabbaths could fall during the week on days other than the seventh day of the week. It has been proven with modern technology using astrology and a lunar calendar that the crucifixion took place in 31 A.D. which Passover was Wednesday. Three days and three nights in the grave would have Christ rising from the dead a few minutes before the end of Saturday corresponding to being put in the grave a few minutes before the end of Wednesday. If you study the feast of first fruits as you see that the high priests at the Barley that was offered up his first fruits in the last few minutes of Saturday. What a parallel image. He told Mary not to touch him as he has not yet gone to see his father. The barley was not to be harvested until I was offered up his first fruits that morning which is about 9 o'clock our time. Jesus was the first fruit. You do not have to rise from the dead on Sunday to be The first fruit. Jesus was not only the first fruit but with the new covenant became our high priest and mediator.

I think we need to forget all about the names of the week because there were'nt any, the Luni-Solar calender went by numbers,new moons, and sabbaths. Once you can understand that, things will start to make more sence in the time line of things, the way the Lord intented it to be. That's just my thought. God bless

Dawn towards the first day of the week does not mean the same thing as sunrise. Since Israel calculated a day from sundown to sundown, the towards the first day of the week would have meant what we refer to as Saturday dusk. Notice that God does everything in decency and in order with his feast days and appointed Sabaths, thus the term appointed. The confusion itself is prophecy..."they will seek to change times and laws".

..some interesting perspectives were expressed, however, you will find that while there are some 13 other passages that exclaim the three days begin with the death of our savior, the passage of Mt.12:40 can be reconciled by understanding the "inclusive" reckoning of time observed by the Jews of Jesus' day. Consider that Jesus was crucified about the 3rd hour of Abib 14, Day 1, note also the prophecy of Amos 8:9 which corresponds with Mk.15:33, and Lk.23:44,..that would count as Night 1. Day 2 is the daylight period between 3pm Abib 14 and sunset of Abib 14. Night part of Abib 14 would count as Night 2. Day part of Abib 15 would count as Day 3, and night part of Abib 15 would be Night 3. This would also agree our Messiah himself illustrated time in the passage of Lk.13:32. Note also "heart of the earth" of Mt.12:40 is satisfied by understanding "earth" (g1093) as soil, a region or solid part or the whole part of the terrene globe- earth, ground, land, world. Yehwehshuo's stake was planted into the earth or soil a good way to sustain his body. Can one not reasonably deduct our Savior was in the heart of the earth, first while on the stake then transferred into the tomb in the earth? It all translates to a total harmony of all the scriptural passages and arguments. Please consider editing updating your teaching.

@Tom Ference Regarding the 3 days / 3 nights controversy - We really have no need to pinpoint whether it was 3 days / 3 nights, because Yahushua made it plain that The sign of Jonah was a PARABLE to the unbelieving "Jews". The controversial text is - For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. Mat. 12:40 Mat. 12:38 Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee. 39But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: 40For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. However, WLC's idea that Yehwehshuo made plain the sign of Jonah was a "parable" is a false one, and attested to the same, in what is said in Mt.12:39. It reads, "...An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, BUT the sign of the prophet Jonah". The "but" definitely implies a "sign", and that sign would be as stated by Yehwehshuo in the next verse. We should not be so bold as to think the inspiration of this passage as spurious. As I mentioned in my initial comments that there at least 13 other massages that concur with WLC that the weight of evidence confirms a third day resurrection, but as future kings and priests our commendation comes from searching out a matter Pr.25:2.

Mark Ch.8 and Ch.9: vs. 31 We must debate what Jesus meant when he said "and after three days rise again." You could argue it either way, that "and after three days rise again" applies in a direct timeline after "and be killed." Luke 23:56 says they prepared the spices during the night hours AFTER the burial and BEFORE the nearing High Sabbath, so called because it coincides with the weekly Sabbath every year. It is the one and only Sabbath involved in the timeline. The crucifixion was on the evening of the Preparation Day = the 14th day of the month and 6th day of the week. The burial took most of that same following night, then they prepared the spices. They rested on that High Sabbath day = the 15th of the month and 7th day of the week, waited for the dark night hours to be almost over, then went to the tomb the early morning of the first day of the new week. Personally I think the Lord was crucified on the thursday and died that afternoon. The next day (friday) was the passover and the following day (saturday) was the weekly sabbath. He then rose at dawn on the sunday. So he was dead thurday night, friday night and saturday night (3 nights), plus a portion of thursday afternoon, friday day and saturday day (3 days). While not quite 72 hours it does fulfil the 3 days and 3 nights. The heart of the earth I think is referring to sheol/hades, the realm of the dead, where Peter says he preached to those killed in the flood of Noah.

We cannot align the days with the current Gregorian calendar, back then there was no such calendar. We will never really know, we cannot celebrate it the way Roman Catholicism wants us to. Food for the thought, if the Gregorian calendar didn’t exist during Jesus death, it was the Julian and Julian Roman calendar had 8 days in the week, why would scriptures refer to the “first day the women came to the tomb” The first day of the Julian calendar? If not, books were written after Constantine, or Constantine and others changed the scripture.

Christ actually believed that he has the power and authority to raise himself to life after spending 3 days and 3 nights in his grave (cf. John 10: 17-18 & John 2: 18-22). But if Christ did resurrect himself, then this new life after his resurrection would be his own creation that is independent of the Father. And this would mean the Father and Son relationship that he had with God would have been severed. And for this reason, I believe the Father intervened and chose to resurrect Christ ahead of the 3 days and 3 nights that Christ needed to resurrect himself on his own. I've been involved in Biblical Research for 43 years. Of course, the Julian Calendar was not how the days of the week were reckoned. That is stupid to think. But there are other assumptions made which are horrible errors. Jesus did not die in the morning. The Word plainly says he died about the ninth hour. The way the Israelites reckoned time back then was (supposing the sun rose at about 6: a.m. by our reckoning) that from the rising of the sun until the first hour passed was called the first hour. From about 7 to 8 was the 2nd hour and so on. If we understand this reckoning it means what we call "noon" would be about the 6th hour. 3 pm would be about the 9th hour. The Sabbath was on Saturday and still is in Israel. The days were reckoned much like they were in Genesis (1:5 The evening and the morning were the first day). When the sun set, it was counted as the next day. Hence, the 1st day of the week in Matthew 28:1 would have begun on Saturday at sunset and the 1st day of the week would have been Sunday. The failure to understand their way of reckoning time is the reason error is so rampant. "Early" on the first day of the week would have been "EARLY" as apposed to late. Since the three days during the days in the grave were what we call holidays, no one could anoint the body because the law said they would have become unclean for having anything to do with a dead body. So both Mary and Mary were ready to go as soon as the sun set. It would be logical to conclude they didn't wait until the 2nd watch of the night. ( this is how they reckoned time at night, by watches i.e. guard duty). Now, if you can't find the research on how the Israelites reckoned time, it would be a logical conclusion that your definition of the "heart of the earth" is likely to be private interpretation. The Word says we are not to privately interpret it. (II Peter 1:20) It's not the first thing we must know, but it is the first thing in priority. Finally, using the Hebrew names for God and Jesus Christ gives us no authority. In fact, it would fall under the category of legalism if not self-righteousness. Do you really think God doesn't know the English word we use when we call on him? It reminds me of Romans 10:6-7 which says: "But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)" "Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)" I'm not here to argue. I am here to teach. If you want to argue, go argue with God. I didn't write the book nor did I make up the way the Israelites reckoned time. I also don't adhere to religious, self-righteous actors who teach for doctrine the traditions of men. You can if you want to. But this is how slavery begins. Christ rose after 3 days and 3 nights but he didn't die on a Friday. For starters Christ couldn't have died on our Friday and rose on our Sunday because that is only one full day and a half day at best and Christ specifically said he would be 3 days and 3 nights. In my humble opinion Christ rose sometime Saturday evening according to our calendar and just before the start of the 1st day of the week according to Jewish time since the evening starts the new day. I'm going to start my timeline with the Jewish day of Passover/day of preparations which I believe started on our Tuesday evening and ended about the same time Wednesday evening. At some point in the night/early morning the disciples have the last supper and Christ is arrested. As we head into our Wednesday morning Christ is put on trial and dies late Wednesday afternoon. The following Jewish day(began Wednesday evening)was the feast of unleaven bread which was a high sabbath so they rushed to bury Christ before that day started. So our Wednesday night-Thursday morning was Christ's 1st night. Our Thursday morning-evening was his 1st day, Thursday night-Friday morning was the 2nd night. Our Friday morning-evening was the 2nd day and Friday night-Saturday morning was the 3rd night. Which makes our Saturday morning-evening the 3rd day giving us a total of 3 days and 3 nights. Now if Christ went into the tomb on our Wednesday evening just before the start of the next Jewish day then 72hrs later would put him at our Saturday evening just before the start of the next Jewish day. After exactly 3 days and 3 nights Mary returns to the tomb early on the 1st Jewish day of the week which would have started Saturday evening on our calendar. I believe he rose just before the start of the new Jewish day because 72hrs earlier he was buried before the start of the new day. Christ entered Jerusalem on a Saturday and rose exactly one week later on Saturday. The scripture does not say he rose on the 1st day, only that the start of the 1st day is when they realized he was gone...

Walkonwater. Go to Genesis and you will see exactly how GOD created the 7 days. The "evening" (first) and the "morning" (second). Apply this to the death (in the evening) of Christ and his resurrection (in the morning). Now, give thought to a Thursday crucifixion, along with a Sunday morning resurrection....and you will have your 3 days and 3 nights (but, chronologically 3 evenings and 3 mornings). Every year the Jews practiced the sacrificial Lamb from Moses. This was to be performed every year to commemorate the Passover where the Jews were saved by the blood of the Lamb. This meant that the Passover of Nisan 15 is also a Saturday (Sabbath) This happens in 1 in 7 Passovers since it is Lunar calendar. This year Nisan 10 would have been a Monday. In the Scripture of John 12 you see Jesus and Lazarus reclining with Mary pouring out an expensive Nard (perfume) on Jesus. This was 6 days before Saturday, Nisan 15. Therefore this was Sunday, Nisan 9 The Next Day Jesus makes His entry to Palm branches and Hosanna "blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord" This is Monday Nisan 10. This is where Moses commanded each person to take a Lamb home on Nisan 10 To slaughter the Lamb at twilight (3 pm) on Nisan 14 When is Nisan 14? This is Friday ... kill the Lamb on Friday at 3 pm. Friday Crucifixion If you say Jesus was crucified on Wednesday at 3 pm and rose on Sunday early in the morning... Each day started at evening let us just say 6 pm for simplification. So 3 hours dead on Wednesday 24 hours Thursday 24 hours Friday 24 hours Saturday 12 hours Sunday ---------------------------------------------------- 87 hours In order for Jesus to have died a literal 72 hours He would have had to die at 3 pm and had to rise at 3 pm. Because it was night After that he told the crew to throw him over but they refused and tried to paddle. Now it is late at night when they threw Jonah overboard. I will say, midnight. Jonah was vomited out of the great fish in the day for God told Jonah to walk into Nineveh and start preaching as soon as he was vomited. Swallowed at night, vomited in the day. If Jonah had been in the fish for 72 hours he would have been vomited out at the same time he was swallowed. Jonah actually spent 40 hours in the great fish as well. There are two other stories in the bible that say three days when it is less than 2 days. This is called inclusive reckoning. You have to be a Jew to understand this. Nowhere does the bible say that Jesus rose Sunday morning. It states that the tomb was empty at that time. Suppose that you were a bank manager and arrived Monday morning and found that the bank had been robbed. You cannot say that it had been robbed Monday morning since you locked the bank Friday late afternoon.

I have been trying to reconcile Jesus words of 3 days and 3 nights AND with "on the third day" verses. I don't understand how He would have said that and not meant it. He could have said "in 3 days" and left out the nights. If He was in the tomb from Wednesday at sunset to Saturday at sunset (exactly 72 hours), He would have risen after 3 days and "on the third day". The phrase "on the third day" does not necessary mean in the first minutes of the third day. It could mean any minute of the third day, including the very last minute of the third day. To fulfill both statements of "on" and "after" would by necessity be the last minute of the third day. So at sunset Saturday (the last minute of Saturday) He rose and it is now the first minute of Sunday. The tomb was empty at dawn of course, about nine hours later. If the test of whether He was the Christ or not was the sign of Jonah, then any time in the heart of the earth other than what He said, reveals that He is not the Christ. If He was dead for seven days then rose, He would not be the Christ. If He was in the tomb for only 24 hours then He is not the Christ. It must be exact and not a parable. A test of messiahship is not inexact.

Your explanation is invalid. The fact is jesus did not fulfil the prophecy of jonah. There are two things (1) jonah was alive, Jesus was dead (2) jonah was alive for three days and three nights. Jesus was not. Prophesy never fails. Remember the bible has more than 50000 error. The bible is not the word of God nor God protected it. Remember the catholics church have adopted many pagan worship. Trinity is one them, they did not bother about gods instructions in Rev.22:18. Steene...I only listened to portions but soon found that his "concept" was not correct. There is no scripture that "counts part of a day as a whole day". That may have been applicable to their customs...BUT...the plan of salvation was not in agreement with their societal concepts. We serve an absolutely "unchanging" GOD. James says; "...in whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning..." Was he really born sinless or was he considered dead for 3 decades (days)? Then he rose again in the 3rd decade? More specifically, he rose again the day that he received the dove "holy spirit" from heaven. "THIS DAY (not since you were born) have I begotten thee". 3 days 3 nights, 3 days 3 nights, that's the same, this verse shows Jesus is God, because Jesus knows the earth is round. The explanation uses the logic of ancient times which is not the same as the logic of today, relies less on the logic of analyzing all the scriptures, relying on faith because of the faith is life as the Spirit of God is in it, logic will change according to the times, in contrast to the eternal wisdom of God. Faith will provide the correct logic not only at this time but it could also be in the future and it could even be when Jesus came for the second time. Returning to the topic of this verse, the phrase is "in the heart of the earth" as this verse is actually God's punishment of the Jews and those who rely on only limited human writing and logic. If we count the Friday after three o'clock and before evening, of course, Jesus was already in the grave, in the heart of the earth, rose early in the morning, the time was not writen, but the early morning, that's what is written. Today's logic is that the earth is round, at the same time experiencing day and night together, try to count correctly, day and night, even hours are very precise, why use this calculation because the answer is the phrase itself "in the heart of the earth". Jesus could not have been crucified on the day before the weekly sabbath. Astronomical/Mathematical calculations indicate that the Passover for 31AD/CE, did NOT end the day before the weekly sabbath. It did for the year 30AD/CE. If Jesus commenced his ministry in 27AD/CE and it ended in 30AD/CE, then he only experienced two Passovers during his earthly ministry. This is at odds with Daniel's 70 week prophecy.

Jesus was killed on Wednesday the 14th of Nisan, a preparation day before the SABBATH HIGH DAY the beginning of 7 days of Unleavened bread - day of rest- no work to be done that is why Jeaus had to be buried on Wednesday before 6pm which woild have been on Thuraday. There were two sabbaths in this week. The Passover came a day before the high day sabbath. Jesus died at 3pm on the day of passover when the passover lambs were slain. I had to stop watching when he began to count the days from the garden. Also, his count base on the feast of Passover and unleavened bread, don’t match with biblical timeline. It seems that this teaching wants to stay in the timeline of the Roman Catholic.

Christ died on (Good) Friday - that's one day - He was in the tomb all day Saturday (Sabbath) that's 2 days and He was also in the tomb part of the day for Sunday, that's 3 days. The day in bible times began at sunset and ended at sunset, ( a 24 hour period - see Lev. 23:32). Jesus did not say He would be there 3 full days, a part of a day is still a day. Peter said of Paul in 2 Pet. 3:16, that he wrote some things that are hard to understand - that those who are unwise and unstable wrestle to their own destruction, and this truth applies to other writers also. There is a proper answer for every question if you seek to find it from scripture, for scripture explains scripture. It was the Romans who changed time to go from mid-night to mid-night. This video looked like one I would love but it is another human fabrication. The Messiah made no mistake and He spoke clear language. The sign of Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the fish. So would |He be 3 days and three nights in the belly of the earth. This was clear language. This video is another interpretation of what the Messiah COULD have meant. He JUST meant being in the earth 3 days and 3 nights. No magic in there. The same with the trinity.
