"You need to calm down, sir." If only Shadow knew how in-your-face aggressive this guy was just a couple of weeks ago. If he'd done this before the update he would've seen the guy spawn on top of him dozens of times and gotten an endless stream of warnings at the bottom of the screen about failing to "follow regulations". I'm so glad the aggression has been toned down compared to what I've seen of this mod from other youtubers. It had been at a point where you couldn't take two steps non-crouched without getting a warning or a jumpscare. This is a much better rate of incidents and a broader variety of tricks that creates some great analog horror vibes.

Yeah this mod has been vastly improved by toning it down. It now actually feels atmospheric and has more of that slowly building feeling of dread. Could still just be random but it also feels like the image jumpscares are gradually escalating in the nature of what is shown. Before it was about a minute before "RUN" would appear on the screen followed by "DING DING DING" and someone's image folder filled with downloads from r/cursedimages was dumped onto the screen. More annoying and frankly unintentionally hilarious than scary. Props to the creator for making something actually tense.

I seen it happen quite often with me. I like attacking those hordes for fun. Sometimes when attacking a zombie, they call a zombie buddy to come and help fight. It’s like they have an ability on their action bar to do so. I remember just punching zombies on a 3 block high tower and just summoning a lot of them.

Gosh, that cherry grove spot was perfect to build in. Your house was nice and quaint! I do love when you add variation to the stone, understandably you couldn't do it this time, and I feel that would have been the best finishing touch for your house. I watch some analog horror, this was a pretty interesting take for a Minecraft Mod. Having this video be vanilla with only this mod helped make some vanilla sounds terrifying too, since it's just the mod added. I do hope the mod gets a little bit of an update to balance a bit and provide some variation, but maybe the dude is supposed to do some more and was broken? Maybe something to revisit some time later, if it's still on the radar! I get strong GREYLOCK horror vibes from the video tape at the end. Tape 008, if I'm remembering correctly, finding ancient artifacts deep in the mountain plus terrifying beings. This was a fantastic video! Love your content as always!

Oh yeah ambient sound can make or break a horror series. The little knocks and footsteps and stuff you hear around your character is always what makes me turn a series off. If it’s especially good, I just freak out completely!! It’s really cool how something as innocuous as a footstep (something you hear every day) can be so scary

@@jlindsey79no that’s not lame. Everyone has their limits. I usually play on peaceful unless I really need supplies from a monster, then a switch to easy temporarily and go back. Mostly because I have really bad anxiety and when I’m playing Minecraft I’m doing it to ignore that anxiety and having a bunch of zombies and creepers popping up behind me doesn’t the opposite of that. It’s okay to make the games you play work for you!! And anyone who thinks that lame or boring is just an ahole who hates letting people have their own fun!!

It’s just unnerving and is another constant reminder that you’re not alone. (Like we need reminding to begin with) They were in early versions of the mod so, I’m hoping it didn’t get removed and it’s just harder to get as a sound cue. Hearing his laugh in the caves is chilling.

I'm not impressed by mods that try too hard to be scary and this is one of them. The monster look like Squidward high on LSD and spawning on the player is just cheap. Would have been a million times scary If the silence behave like a second(hostile) player that is constantly hunting you down, not overly invencible or anything but just as able to open doors, place and destroy blocks and overall do what Steve do.

everything from 55:15 forward is an excellent example of how some humans lose every single wit they have when faced with anxiety/terror. Dude floundered around around so hard he jumped off of a tree into a clearly visibly open area. dude could see where he was going and blindly dove into fall damage of his own accord. such is the power of the flight response. anyways good video thanks for making it, this was a pretty tame video compared to some of the horror minecraft vids and definitely had my attention without under or oversaturating the horror too much. sorry the world had to end so soon in though, definitely not a fair death with how panicked you were lol

Honestly, this would've been great for another series. The story seems intriguing; I would love to see you exploring it further. damn, I'm already in love with this video. The shaders and background music fit SO well. I'm currently at 11:46 minute of watching and I'm already amazed how good it turned out. I also love how it gives of a movie like vibe and the Seed you're playing on looks so beautiful (I won't mind if you could share it with me :D ). + Little tip here - it would be even creepier if you could add a vhs tape effect and grain effect (not too much, just slightly).
