Mualani lost someone very similar to kazuha Kachina been abandoned by everyone and nobody wants to join with her because she is weak similar to bennet because of his bad luck Kinich has bad childhood where his mom left him and his dad abused him very similar to people in real life But the fact that these trio moves on and continue to live and act like nothing happened from their past proofs they have better mindset than most of the characters from different nation like raiden and scaramouche

Considering that they live in war, I can imagine their culture ending up like in Irl Japan. Since Japan is an island where lots of natural disasters happen they developed an "enduring hardships" mentality. I think that's what happened in Natlan as well with the war with the Abyss

Mualani actually didn’t lose the person in front of her! The blood that was on her face in the video is a reference to her story, where it mentions the monster’s blood flew as Atea (her friend)‘s blade pierced it.

She has a wonderful life herself, except the point that every person in Natlan is a warrior fight against the Abyss In the archon quest, her tribe was attacked, they didn't tell us details but pretty sure loads of damage was caused. And aunt Atea is so close to death as this point. And Kachina - her sister-like, almost die permanently if we didn't save her. She doesn't have trauma, she is a normal young girl joining the battle and has to face pain and loss, and that makes her character so beautiful when she still *that* optimistic Remind me of the paving ways girl (?) in my country when there are wars, they joined the war yet still smile so shine and happy, hoping for a brighter future

He would never again get up) 0:24 - Faint heartbeat in the background (The first thing Kinich felt was a daze, almost like being snow-blind, before a staggering sourness knocked him out of that torpid haze. YESSS I AGREEE, and idk if it's from Kinich's story but i'm pretty sure the book he's holding references his favorite book, the one his mother wrote. And I like to think that the scene where there's multiple bodies surrounding him references how Kinich has died in the Night Wars before, which means he's experienced pseudo death multiple times.

I love how in around 0:28 Kinich is holding a book and there are pages around him to signal that his wish was that if he ever saw his mother again he would have asked her how her book that she was writing but never got to finish (presumably the one in Kinich's hand at around 0:28) ended but he never got that chance and he was forced to strike down the abyss monster that took on his mother's form
