I still think the original seven-parter has one of the greatest cliffhangers ever- The Sillurians breaking in and getting The Doctor Is scary enough with all the build up to it, but the music is really what amplifies it to a 10 out of 10 Cliffhanger

We have to give credit to Chris Chibnall for writing The Hungry Earth/Cold Blood because they are genuinely episodes from Series 5 and a great reintroduction to the Silurians

I like the modern Silurian designs, particularly for Madame Vastra. Though I still prefer the classic designs. Particularly in Doctor Who and the Silurians. The Warriors of the Deep design was great too.

I love when they write the silurians as more human than the humans themself. One can't help but feel sorry for the silurian species, getting kicked out of their own home.

Yeah, as much as we love the Brigadier, can't help but sort of loathe him for blowing up the Silurian base at the end of that first serial. Especially how the Doctor reacts to it. Even if the Brig was ordered by the ministry to do it. Though might not have needed to if that Silurian hadn't murdered their leader, who was willing to negotiate.

The prosthetics for the new Silurians were beautifully done. But I do sometimes wish they’d found a way to do them in a way that was truer to the original. If they could have used up-to-date methods to do a design in the spirit of the original but more realistic, I would have loved it.

The sad thing is.. they had a concept sculpt Bust for NuWho of an old style Silurian, it was perfect, but they never went beyond the sculpt stage :( The Hungry Earth/Cold Blood would have been alot better with it, even if just as the Silurian Elder.

Warriors from the Deep was a shambles in so many ways. I find it so hard to watch. I prefer Twin Dilemma! The costumes for the Silurians looked inferior to the originals - cheaper in some way - and the voices just sucked. The story wasn’t tight and the pantomime horse was the only time I’ve ever felt embarrassed by the special effects in Classic Who.

I honestly think the New who designs for the Silurians are a massive downgrade from the originals. I mean its good prosthetic makeup but there's nothing resembling the original designs which looked more creative IMO. I've seen the updated Silurian designs they were originally going to use in Series 5 and they looked great whilst still honoring the originals.

Doctor 11's moments with Sailor Moon are the best especially when he blocks the Sailor Moon's attacks with the Sonic Screwdriver. The Doctor blocks the attacks but doesn't attack. Killing is forbidden to the Doctor.🌹👍😁
