@Tomco, PIN THIS COMMENT! GUYS, THIS TUTORIAL WORKS FOR BEDROCK 1.19. There should be no issues with it and if there are then you have made a mistake during your building process. I made a few mistakes as well and here’s what I did to ensure the elevator works flawlessly: 1. Ensure all your repeaters are facing THE CORRECT DIRECTION with the correct tick counter as he describes. 2. Ensure there are NO OTHER BLOCKS that touch the flying machine AT ANY POINT IN TIME. 3. If you take damage while on the elevator, you can ride a minecart (DESTROY THE RAIL OR IT WILL MESS UP THE FLYING MACHINE) to take no damage. 4. Follow his tutorial EXACTLY as he does to ensure no mistakes. For reference, it took me about 1.5 hrs to complete a fully functioning, 3 story version of this elevator in creative. If you do exactly as he does, your multi-floor elevator should be working flawlessly. Thank you for such a great tutorial Tomco!

@@TomcoMC you could make an additional component very similar to the elevator recall system where the ground floor contains the input section, and if given a input, pretty much sends the elevator straight down to ground floor regardless where the elevator was.

Spent nearly 5 hours building and rebuilding this elevator to get it to work without success. I've checked and rechecked every level to make sure they were identical and that no blocks were blocking. The elevator goes up no problem, but will not do anything when you hit the down button.

I found the issue. You have to replace the wood buttons with stone buttons (polished blackstone button and stone button) because they get pressed down for a shorter time than wood buttons.

A way to simplify the process is to use a structure block, no matter how many floors you need, YOU JUST NEED TO BIULD ONE YOURSELF. Then you can build the rest with the structure blocks.

I've got an elevator that goes up super far because I built a massive golden cross with a farm with sheep at it's base... the base is like waaaay up high LOL. my buddy was building a church, came out and was like "WHY IS IT SO MASSIVE?!?!" that elevator is my pride and joy but you fall through the floor when trying to go up, so you use minecarts.

In the line of slabs you actually want to curve around the piston so the sticky piston on top won’t connect to the redstone.

Gday mate 👋 Is there a way to make this elevator be able to be called down to a certain level? (For example it's on lvl 4 and you want it to go down to lvl 1)?

originally had one for it but it takes away the simple part, i have other tutorials where ive made flying machines with call functions but this one I wanted to keep simple. for a call machine youd have to add selection panels at each floor as well basically turning it into another complicated thing. you could make some sort of call function just by connecting a line of Redstone that goes into all the floors ups and downs and then press whether you want it to go up or down depending on what floor your on, thats just a little finicky tho.
