Today in the National Government of China, it's time for a switch. With the threat of Japan looming large over the country. A massive reorganization must take place to ensure their survival.
The warlords must be brought in line, the army must be reformed and modernized and their doctrine must be changed otherwise Japan might just be able to walk right into China again. And when all is said and done, even the leadership will come into question and must evolve to survive.

I could've also done the strat where you force a non-aggression and stuff like that. But then again I also could've just reverted version to when the naval exploit still worked and used that. What I'm saying is there is more than one way to do this, and this is the one I've gone with. This time anyway.

Unfortunate that it still takes ages and all of your political power for some generals that will probably be worse than the ones you grinded in the war.

@@OlivePeel Its actually not too bad. Puppeting the southern warlords will give you a lot of generals and their resources directly to you via trade. Being forced into free trade makes annexing them slightly perjudicial

​@@otten5666No pp? Don't try to do them all at once. Takes too long? Don't try to integrate them all. If you have to fight one or two, annex them in a peace deal. Essentially, you have to sacrife a thing to gain another thing. Sometimes you can't get it all.

... so what was the "simple switch"? All you did was the common unite china before japanese war strat- if anything your key to success here just seems to be that ultra efficient template. A much "simpler" path for nationalist china to use your keyword from the title IMO, is to rush the 120pp focus, hire the army defense genius, then rush 3rd research slot, then rush army reform. You will be absolutely swimming in Army xp and can get those army reforms done ASAP- if you own NSB you get any of the army spirits that give you daily command power as well which basically cirvumvents your "incompetent officers" national spirit. When the war kicks off the warlords will send you expeditionary units so your army will still be sufficient to defend just south of beijing, and all your ports.

Now maybe I didn't put enough emphasis on it, but where the title comes from is within the first seven minutes, the description of this video alludes to it too. And like I said earlier, there is more than one way to do this. This is just one I prefer, while you've found yours.

This is not some new strategy. I believe that this has always been the optimal China strat. And I wholeheartedly disagree that you want to puppet any of them. Annexing them is a chore. I actually delete my army at game start and rush it, just to make sure they all reject, so that I can get wargoals on all of them. Then I can directly annex them instead of having to bother with puppets. Definitely easier.

I don’t remember ever claiming this as a new strat? If there is one lemme know and I’ll see what I can do. And like I said at the top of this comment section, there is more than one way do this and you’ve found another that you prefer.

@@BubblesZest The real switch up strat is letting the Japanese push the border forward, subjugate Shaanxi, and then use your new border to encircle Japanese troops on the frontline.
