I grew up practically 2/3rds of my life without him and only recently got back in touch; my entire teenage years were non-existent with him due to many unfortunate, estranged circumstances. Regardless; the one thing my dad told me? "You wouldn't let an asshole live in your house, so why would you let them live in your head?" That's the kind of rhetoric I wish I had in my head a looong time ago. I spent most of my life having to figure shit out, struggle, be miserable... toughen up, I guess. But everything this video says only reminds me of what my dad said and reinforces how right he is.

@@ziraprod6090 I have no prerequisites to respect anyone. When someone disrespects me, I tend to get over it. When they never stop disrespecting me, I tend to resist somewhat. And then maybe if it does, and you change somehow, then you could say he earned my respect. Meaning, they recovered it. I have a slight aversion to the words deserve and earn because of how they're used by the mind to justify something that isn't constructive. Instead when use the word dislike in place of disrespect, and need instead of deserve and you will be a more integrated person because you'll be more sincere and self-honest. Sorry for the speech. You can probably do more than you know if you've never tried to push yourself to your limits and beyond. I've tested myself mentally and physically to where I've met many failures in life. Now that I'm in my 40's I can look back and I'm generally happy with my life because I'd rather have a lot of failures attempting to do thing I wanted to do than a lot of successes in doing things other people think I should do with my life. I was in the 101st airborne A company 2/327th infantry regiment. I was injured and lost my ability to speak normally for 20 years. People made fun of me. I could hardly work. I got a nighttime security job so I wouldn't have to speak to people. Ear Nose Throat specialists told me there was nothing that could be done to fix the injury. I researched for many years and tested things on myself. Eventually I found a way to reverse the injury and now I can speak normally again. Never give up no matter how much adversity surrounds you. When the 101st airborne was surrounded at Bastogne in WW2 the NAZI's told them they were surrounded and to surrender. The 101st commander's response was 'nuts!'

I really needed this, I’ve been battling my own demons in my head, I’m currently overweight and miserable in my little bunker I’ve created. Might not mean much but I will become mentally and physically stronger, thank you David this has actually enlightened me. ALOT.

Took everybody’s soul at work and at the gym. The process in becoming the quadruple champ has been fun. Ups and downs enjoying the process. Workout anywhere train my mind everywhere. People said I was intimidating but really they had a negative mindset approaching me. When ppl start to talk to me that’s when they fully understand this guy is different. I’m different. I’m a beast. I will be ufc quadruple champion of the world. Flyweights.bantamweight.featherweight. Lightweight champ. Ppv king.

When ever you feel like giving up just remember all the people in your bloodline who came before you, they fought all the battles and survived long enough to procreate so that you could eventually be here and now you’re about to quit?!! Think how disappointed they would be in you and step up and give it all you’ve got and keep going!! You’ll get there eventually!!!

So very true, I literally thought I was the only one where people try to tear you down and not like you to succeed. Iv had some people from school try to remind me that I ain't nothing. One lad said to me in a bar I remember you in school, you weren't all that in school suppose you think you are now then put his hand up my skirt. Disgusting and pathetic. As if you shouldnt ever grow up and change. I was 21 at the time although I was stronger person mentally than in school I'm waaay more stronger now to deal with this kind of thing. Love this video.

My narcissistic mother gave me a great compliment last summer, she said, you’re not very nice any more, so I knew I was changing . She is a very negative person and constantly lives in her past victimhood. What my mother really meant but could not articulate is, your not compliant anymore, you speak your mind and don’t need to be liked by everyone.

I was on a journey, and discovered this man's philosophy, and started following his hustle. I'm well into my 60’s and I went from 275 lbs to 168 lbs. I let go of meat. I listened to his medical issues, and Im powering through the disability I have, from the military life. Back & neck surgeries, yes. I had to over come it all. The problem, Im still learning to ignore fools and now Im this weight for over 2 years. Changed gyms to stop seeing folks or listening to doubters…

we live by the narrative of other people... now that is powerful unbiased psychology. im still here racking up views on this favorite video of mine as powerful as a cup of coffee for my daily life. been saving my life last two years. dont have the discipline to make it all change in me tomorrow, but i do adhere to the philosophy and its liberating. i borderline consider it a creed now. i was dealing with abandonment issues, everyone in my life is dead or gone, and i understood it was them, not me. my beautiful girls and wife remind me of that everyday and the others were just fog over my real life. my real team, my real crew. myself.
