*lol, very well played sir!* It's Class-A so the audiophiles shouldn't complain 😁 I have heaps of MOSFETS and transistors floating around. I'm going to slap something similar together using a Darlington and some 18650's.

IMO the biggest source of OCD nerd- rage is that your schematic symbol for the MOSFET is an NPN junction transistor. Other than that, there's no reason to expect that it wouldn't amplify a distorted and clipped audio signal. You haven't biased the gate so only half the input waveform makes it out and the DC through the speaker is pushing the cone out to the edge of travel.

@GoSlash27 - his diagram is correct. That is the simplified icon for a N-Channel MOSFET without the internal diode (ex VLSI designer in uni)

@@ryangatling2973 Not really, though. He's running an n-channel enhancement mode MOSFET. Arrow on the substrate pointed in, 3 bars to represent the enhancement mode operation. Lead avionics test tech with 30 years experience in the industry.
