Dear Master Robert, I do not know how can I thank you. You are sharing priceless information with us which we normally must strive a lot to get those knowledge. Now I just sit and watch your videos while drinking my coffee. I hope one day I can offer you a coffee to thank you.

Great video as always, thanks. That point you made at the end feels kind of like Heisenberg's principle as it applies to PCBs: You cannot measure what is going on, without affecting what is going on. I was hoping to see some tutorial on how to use this modeling software, but I think you may have done tutorials like this in the past. So I'll look through your videos to find one.

🤔 The only scenario/exception where the gnd copper with via fence between the traces would make sense is: two seperate Conductor-backed coplanar waveguides (CBCPW) on two layer board. But in that case also the width of that copper pour (that is part of the defining GND/impedance) should probably higher/wider 🙃

please. confirm my understanding the rough rule (1:41) ( i'm not strong in English): if rise time (ns) is longer than interconnections (inches) then we don't find ringing? This means that there is no need to worry?

Yep.... reflections are a basic property of transmission lines. It reminds me of VSWR

Hey I think you gave your email for questions on a different video. Would you mind if I asked you some questions sometime? I'm an EMC technician and I really want to understand all of these principles so I can help these customers that come in and have no idea how to fix it.

We were powering an antenna into a reverb chamber and we were only putting 1dBm of power, how is it that we were seeing a 60V/m field? I know the answer but I want to see what people think.
@striker443 ай бұрын
I know the answer, too. I am looking at what you have to say about it so I can confirm or reject it.
