The Simpsons: Bart's Prank Calls Moments Season 1-30 (Movie & Crossovers Included)

Bart's prank calls occur when Bart Simpson makes a prank phone call to somebody. Usually, it's Moe, but occasionally others are involved as well.
Moe is the frequent target of Bart's prank phone calls. Usually, Bart calls Moe's Tavern and asks for an individual by his or her name. Unbeknownst to Moe, the name is a pun or double entendre, which Bart usually hides by saying the last name first when he tells Moe who he's calling for. The joke is revealed when Moe calls the person's name aloud, saying their first name (or initials) first, and the last name last, where his customers proceed to laugh at his expense. Curiously, Moe has heard Bart's voice several times and has yet not been able to identify the voice when it calls him. That said, Bart has been known to alter his voice, or it could be phone static. In addition, Moe once implied that the sender of the calls often changed his name. Sometimes Bart plays the pranks by methods other than over the phone, but the general idea is the same. While this was a running gag in earlier seasons of the show, the gag became less common and would only appear on some occasions.

No. Only MODERN Family Guy humor. Which is just abstract shock value with no rhythm. Seasons 1 - 6 Family Guy actually bothered to set up their jokes, and the jokes were actually character-driven. Like that scene where Peter is trying to sell fish and his rival replaces Peter's sign with "I had sex with all these fish". And when a customer asks how he does it, Peter (oblivious of the new sign) answers by saying "I hang the worm for them, they go for it and fight for a while until they lay back and accept it". The joke is perfect because it comes from a real situation and requires actual context. Old Stewie would not have said "your sister's being raped". He would be more likely to play on Moe's fears by pretending to be a health inspector or a cop.

XD On the prank calls themselves, I kinda miss them being more frequent, but I know there's only so many jokes you can make with that as a frequent running gag. These tapered off later on. Probably both to keep the gag fresh and because it's hard to get away with prank calls these days thanks to the existence of things like caller ID which makes the gag not really make sense anymore. A lot of the later ones involve different time periods and such probably for this reason.
