You don’t even know the nostalgia I get from this. I have a lot of memory loss due to a brain disease, but when I see/hear the sims 1, everything comes back. Some of my best memories as a child was playing this with my cousins. So much fun. Thank you for doing this. The music just brings me back, certain objects, certain phrases they speak, just immaculate. I miss this game. Love the sims 4, still play to this day, but there was nothing like this game. ❤️ Your house is incredible btw. ❤️❤️❤️

man i dont have a disease but i still dont remember much from my childhood. It was a chaotic hell so maybe thatd why. But these games just like you said not only brings back memories but also ties those memories together, which makes me cry everytime because normally i cant recall any of those stuff.. Like i still remember how happy I was when my friend sneaked in a flashdrive with Prince of Persia: Warrior within to school (ur school had strict no electronics rule) It was heaven. Theres nothing that makes me close to that happy anymore Sims was given to me in the same way but by a different friend in middleschool. He talked alot about it when he was in school so i got intrigued and told him to get me a copy of the game which I played for like motnhs until my PC broke down. This game bring me so much memories and emotions. Sims 1 had a huge impact on my childhood life. Its making me more want to go back to my past, where I'm still innocent. As a kid who only stays at home and doesn't have much of a friends, sims gives me comfort. I will play until my mom will call me to have dinner with my family. I miss those days. One Christmas I remember one of my Santa presents - it was clearly a jewel case containing a PC game. I thought it was something (maybe Aliens VS Predator or something), but I opened it and was horribly disappointed to find The Sims + House Party Expansion Pack. I gave it a go for the sake of it, and within an hour on Christmas morning I was hooked. I played it the entire day, stopping only to eat my Christmas lunch. This is one of my favourite childhood memories. It quickly become of my favourite games, beyond my wildest expectations.

I remember it, me and my sisters loved to play this. For Hours, spend the whole evening with creating Sims, building huge Houses we cant afford without cheats and just doing crazy Stuff and experiments. It was pretty easy and really good. The Music that comes when a Ghost appears still scares the shit out of me, or even the Sound of the "Thief" arrives. The horror we went through, while we were watching how he stole our Expensiv stuff, the Police, who arrived allways to late and even when he arrived he lost every Time to the Thief. The Fire that came out of Nowhere, because our Sims was not Educated Enough to Cook a goddamn Egg! The Nostalgia hits really hard! I thank you for the Upload, even when it was 3 years ago. God the nostalgia … I first got the original at Christmas 2000 when I was in 6th grade. And I was immediately hooked by my 12th birthday because I got House Party and Livin Large 🤣 I used to love making up stories and uploading them to the Sims Exchange and downloading people’s cool houses and custom made wallpapers. I never knew how people could do custom decor. And in Create a Sim, I totally forgot about the “nice” meter 🤣 they’ve come a really long way in terms of graphics and skins and clothes and whatnot. A lot of people hate Sims 4 but I’m actually enjoying it! But nothing will ever replace the hours I spent on the old Dell Desktop in my parents house, playing the first game. I think my first family was the Johannsen’s or something lol.

Sorry for my grammar if something I'm not an English speaker but oooh my... This music and sounds bring back so many good childhood memories. I remember when my mom brought a copy of the Sims 1 with some expansion packs from her coworker and gave it to me. I didn't know how to build walls at first and let my Sims live under the open sky lol. I remember my first fire, my first pet, my first vacation trip, the first time I saw a ghost and it scared crap out of me and also those creepy phone pranks, the sad clown and scary music playing randomly in the middle of the night... This game is so calming and magical. I've spent hours and hours playing it. It was a simpler time... No worries and stress just playing this masterpiece after school and enjoying every minute of it

I miss this game so much. It came out when I was ten and my grandma bought it for herself but we made the deal that if I would install it on her PC then I could play whenever I came over. Spending the night at Grandma's equalled no sleep as I would sneak a cold can of pop from the fridge and play from bedtime until the early morning. Lol. Only thing i hate about this game is the kids never grow up unless you use a magic spell but then they lose there relationship as a child and can fall in love with you thats werid but im glad sims 2 has where the children age , i love both sims 1 and 2 but 2 is my favorite, i love playing the superstar on Sims 1 and trying to becoming a celebrity

Same approach I still use to this day when playing Sims 3/4. Tho I miss 1, and prefer 2. Money cheat on lot. Then move to a better house. I even go in edit mode and fix whatever house/lot I want prior to moving in.

This is really comforting to me. Just like playing Tiny Life. They both give off similar vibes, in my opinion. I'd love to see you play a bit of that too, but only if it's fun for you. I understand the pixel art isn't for everyone, but it has some Sims 1 vibes for sure.

I remember buying so many custom skins and objects from websites in the 2000s for this. My game crashed so many times too because there were issues with the downloads. The nostalgia is insane. The game was so incredibly fun...I had everything up to the Unleashed (the pets) expansion pack, then after a while, my computer died, so I lost everything. Later on, I got one of the Sims games for Xbox, but it just wasn't as expansive and fun. I wish the entire computer version would be made for Mac or something now. I would love to play again.

@@xDJxGNOMx Yes, a lot of websites had skins and objects but you had to pay. Wasn't expensive. I remember some downloads would crash my game though. Haha. Fun times.

I remember seeing the sims 1 in stores I begged my mom to buy me the game except I didn’t own a pc during that time 😂. When I bought the sims 2 in 2007 I was super excited and played all night. Also the sims 1 furniture looked very realistic comparing to the sims 4 cartoonish furnitures.

this game is nostalgic yet very painful to play. I remember I tried so hard not to cheat on money but my sims would either starve to death or simple depressed by the environtment. It's almost like the Sims 1 is even harder than my reality

I remember downloading some of those mods. That rustic and white dining room is real life goals. This is the type of game you play to avoid your crappy problems while tweaking your goals lol. Same reason I like racing simulators. Gets the gears cranking. 💡
