I'm pretty sure there is nothing wrong with cakes in your game, you just have to send your sims to blow out the candles a bit earlier. You don't give everyone enough time to gather around so birthday sims just age up on their own at 6 pm and the cake becomes useless. And yes, Mary Sue did clean up that cake right after the animation lol

Omg i was playing the pleasants yesterday and not even one day in, Lilith died at age 16, and literally NO ONE cared. They all just wanted to throw a party. Angela and mary-sue were smustling as she was dying. And then daniel decided he wanted to replace her with 2 kittens.

I think the ACR mod would be a bit better if you could tune how often it prompts sims to be romantic. If it allowed the user to dial it down a bit so that sims could be romantic occasionally and naturally, it would be great. Right now, it seems to turn all adults into raging nymphomaniacs! That party was chaos in a bottle, by the way. It was very entertaining to watch!

I agree! I got fed up with ACR eventually and removed it. It was just too much! My Sims never did anything but woo-hoo and the population was getting out of control. I like it better now that I control them again and they have normal libidos. Haha!

I love playing with ACR. Before installing it my sims were kinda loveless. Now they woohoo when they want and where they want. And also it's now less of child farm 'cuz they also try for baby from time to time. It's good programmed.

Not sure you sold me on ACR, but it was quite entertaining to watch!!! Exhausting, really! I really like what you have done with the Pleasants. So far, I am never happy with how this family turns out, but I think the combo of sending the twins to college early, keeping the adults a tad younger than the in-game Pleasants, and having one child to keep them busy (& a dog) has been just what is needed to have this family be interesting. BTW-I think if you are friends with someone you can ask them to babysit. It might just be in an apartment though.

Thanks! Yeah, it's definitely entertaining. They never leave each other alone. Lol. I really like how this family turned out, too. I don't know what I'm going to do with them once Ivan leaves and they're Elders. Maybe they'll adopt a teen or something. Haha! I always get bored playing Elders alone.

I know. Although, IRL I would be an elder, every year when I am on Summer Vacation (I'm a teacher), I am reminded why I can't see retiring. What would I do all day? Same with my Sims. I mean, do they play Sims all day, go on vacation or what? I haven't figured it out for me or for my Sims yet.

Me either! I will give them something to do because I can't stand to see them just sit around doing nothing. Mary-Sue and Daniel will probably just woo-hoo all day if I leave them to their own devices. Haha! Unrelated, but my husband is going back to school to become a teacher next year. He's really excited about it and I think it's a wonderful profession! :)

Teaching is a 2nd career for me and I love it. It's actually how I started with the Sims. My students were playing it and I got hooked! Tell your hubby to talk to positive teachers. The negative ones can get you down! Good luck to him!

I agree Daniel! I now use a genetics mod to make all genetics equal. But I didn't start using it until about episode 63. Lol. So I have a lot of black-haired Sims in this Pleasantview.
