I know this is a long shot, but anyway that I can get an update?😅

I've been playing the scripted events, I finished playing with the Dreamer houshold and I also played the Pleasant household & did follow your tutorial. But before when I played the Dreamer household, I had Darren painting and suddenly Cassandra & Don (who are married) came by and rang at the doorbell. I was shocked, like I knew that shouldn't be happening, but I thought if I don't open the door they'll be angry at Darren (Which I didn't want), so I let darren open the door, and Don saw how his wife was looking at Darren and he got jealous and started to slap his wife. It was hilarious! After playing the Pleasant household I started to make the spreadsheet for myself, as it sounds fun and I love organizing things up so this is really helpful. Then I tried to cheat the relationship of Don & Cassandra, but I regret that, because he has the wants and Lifetimewant of woohing 20 Sims and I prefere to let Cassandra broke up (divorce) with Don and move out with Darren later on and have babies with Darren, even if her chemistry aren't in synch with the ones of Darren. I should look which turns on Darren has 👀 I really adore the Sims 2 it stays exactly the same. Also, you did say 4 days equals a year. I wonder how, I mean it would make sense (if you have seasons installed), to calculate a year by the end of a season. Another way would be, to make sure, how the aging work in Sims 2, how many days a Sim needs to age to the next life stage. If its different within all life stages, it might be difficult that way, but if there is no long life span or something to turn off aging, Idk how you do to have them all the same age even after University. Maybe 1 season might be a year in Sims? And I forgot to mention, when I played The Dreamer household, after paying all the bills I let Dirk move to university (accidentaly), I didn't knew he would grow up so fast. But when I played the Pleasant family, Dirk was still there at the same age and he could visit the Pleasant family and they had a great party! Now I still need to play with the Burb and Oldie households but I'm watching your scripted Events Video Tutorial (The Scene after the Pleasant family) to see which family I should play next. Thank you for your videos, I've had The Sims 2 in 2011 but its insane! I've never played it because I didn't know which family to play first and I didn't know what the goal of the game is, unfortunately I gave up too early, I really wished I had seen videos or tutorials on how to play the Sims 2, videos like yours back than, it'd change my mind. But better later then never. At least I played Sims 1. Thanks for your videos and I hope to see more of you, I wish you a happy new year too!

One question Cindy I am planning to make a vacation world in sims 2 with a hotel that has way more hotel rooms than normal it’s a hotel in real life that is located in Florida and has a ton of rooms would this bring in that many npc’s or if that happens would the game be super glitchy and crashing or no. Or would it just lag on speed three I feel that speed two is better when I came to a situation once but that was with 6 npc apartments plus one sim I made into a playable sim not a townie npc. But what are your thoughts?

Fun fact. Master Mixologist aspiration gives revard treat "potion master" which is "diet" version of alchemy in sims 4. Which means Dina Caliente from sims 4 is the Dina Caliente from sims 2, as alchemy dreams do suit her

I think what the Sims 2 got right was its systems. The team did a great job of reducing life to its simplest components but also making those components influence each other. For example, there were only 6 aspirations, but Sims generated wants and fears partially based on their aspiration, but also based on a bunch of other factors: interactions with other Sims, objects, hobbies, interests, etc. But that meant you could play the same aspiration on different Sims and still have a dramatically different experience. Because of its good systems, you could play and replay with those systems creatively and not get bored!

Why not get married first Dina and Mortimer? Poor Cassandra hahahhaha

Whenever I start a new game, I pretty much delete all the premade sims and load in my own. I've fixed the Landgraabs, Goths, etc and just use my own instead of theirs. Perhaps they just didn't understand how attached people were to the lore but if you think about how much gameplay time people put in, they should've considered it.

I am so glad to see someone else delete the premade townies in favor of their own. I also like to play rotationally but I have never done it in such an organized way. I love how you've set this up. Thank you for sharing.

Pets has worse genetics in TS4 than sims, mainly horses... It inherits coat collor from one parent and mane from other or same parent, so no fun breeding, no fun variants... :D (dog breeding can be still fun, but with horses its 0 fun) I miss layers from TS3 :D They just knew players wants horses so they created that trash and sold it... Empty, souless, money maker... With that DLC I lost the last hope for the game and didnt wanted to play it anymore :D That DLC gave us just quite pretty horses, goats and sheeps... but they took from us so many fun features and didnt even gave us enough items for building, I had to download so many items to build a nice stable :D

For those wondering the reason the age values are 1 less than what they ectually are is becasue of how bits work. An off bit is represented by a 0 and on is 1. This carries over to coding so if a game dev wants an enemies health to be 10 they type 9 because a singular off bit is represented as a 0.

Could anyone answer my question please, I don't understand much about the game yet😢 I'd like to do a very low key rotational play between 2 adult sibling and their families. I want to play with one sibling family more than the other but occasionally check in and do stuff with the other sibling. However I don't want my main household to change too much when I'm away. Do you think it's ok to just temporarily switch off autonomous aging and keep them as a played household while I'm in the other household so neighbourhood stories don't affect them? Sorry if that makes no sense :)

Keep creating, and keep pushing through, even with all their criticisms. Do understand that those people criticizing you are sitting on a sofa being miserable. Keep creating, and being you, while also working on yourself and advancing. There's nothing wrong with being where you are, to get to where you need to go. People will always hate you for progression

I have renovated sunset valley. And replaced Clair ursine and the Frios as well. I had twin brother and sister. But Jared does get Clair pregnant. I think I did the same with the Keaton family too.

You missed the chance to have Ophelia sneak out. I feel like the game purposely makes her want to go out and sneak out so if olive rejects going out it shows you about the sneak out feature
