@11starkat In the pause menu there's an option where you can do that, I'm not sure what's it called in english, something modify the city, change the city, etc. Anyways, in this mode you can modify any lot and change the type of any lot and then just build whatever on it.

Um just looking at it you probably might not be able to tell but go on the Exchange on The Sims 3 website, find this house, click it and it will take you to the picture of it and stuff, then you will find a button that says Expansion packs, click it and it will say which ones he used, you can also click the stuff packs button to see what stuff packs he used and also the store content. @TheCurtisParadisShow i have a lot of questions. Where do you get your decorations (paintings, knifes, etc.)? How many of your houses have expansion packs (I only have the core game)? Can your sims sit at a counter/bar area (like on the first floor) unlike the first two games? I know you don't do requests on youtube but I'm lazy and you are just amazing and I had an idea that you should do maybe like a castle themed (or even a castle!) house or even make a Malcolm's Mansion from The Sims 1.

I don't think you can get the PC houses in the exchange for consoles because the PC has more items in it and expansions compared to the consoles.

@ieatfirepies I haven't played the Sims 3 in a while but I'm pretty sure you go to edit town or edit world or something like that (press the ... button to the bottom left of the screen during game play) and from there you just click a lot and you can change its type, residential to non residential and vice versa. You can also plant a lot (any size) in just a random place but every time I do that I can never move a person into that lot. It's the most frustrating thing, let me tell you.

This will be a whole lot perfect with the Late Night Mechanics using hidden room markers to hide the other condos/apartments and using public room markers so it doesn't feel like the Household is buying the whole lot. I don't know about skip level markers, since it seems that this apartment building only a couple of stories high.

on town edit you can catoragize the building as a base camp. ( I think its the original sims 3)

@jkjk264 He usually leaves some rooms fairly empty so you can change them how you want. Download it and you can make as many changes as you want.

i remember the maker of this video once saying that he draws out the building plan before actually starting to build. I also remember him saying that it took him a month to build the Michael Jackson Neverland mansion. For those of you who "fail miserably," how many of you have that kind of patience? @RedNerf13 Actually, in the upcoming expansion pack: The Sims 3 Late Night, they've added elevators that look just like the ones in the sims 2 open for business. I only wish they move up&down slowly, not the teleportation thingy that they did in the sims 2 open for business. Also, like in every expansion pack, they add a new death. if the new death is death by elevator, then i'll be extremely happy. =)

The DS has a small fraction of the power that a PC/Mac has. So it's done on on the latter choices. :P I don't know for sure, but from what he's mentioned in his videos, he either builds his house from pictures/plans or like in one build, plans everything out on graph paper as well. Of course, it's a lot of it is raw talent too. But again, I can't say for sure if he builds different houses different ways, or does it the same way every time. I just started watching him too so I wouldn't know.

In the plastic box the game disc is in, the serial code should be on one of the papers to the left of the disc. Best way I can describe it :P
