That's why I don't completely hate Sims 4. There are small nuggets that show so much potential, especially with the little details and such. Like the musical cues for each emotion and the small animations for certain traits. I think the Sims 4 just doesn't highlight this well enough for most players.

For the quick engagement thing, don't "first kiss" them first. Ask them to be your partner, then ask them to marry you. If the relationship is high enough, they'll accept regardless of how fast it is. It's tied to the "first kiss" moodlet. That's the reason the Sim rejects it.

There are little things I discovered that I didn't know where there in the first place. Example : after your sim gives birth to their baby, you can change the infant's clothes on the crib. By selecting the baby and then chosing a new piece of clothing. If you're annoyed by random sims texting your phone, you can silence the notifications by opening your sims's phone, and clicking the microphone icon.

It is so great to know about the enemy's dynamics with death 🤲 Everytime I'do a black widow challenge my Sim would cry at their husbands graves as she wasn't to put them there in the first place! The Best way to go with this is to start fighting and declare enemies just after moving in to make sure they won't have that 3 days sadness moodlet on when their spouse passes

Before the My Weddings or High School patch, that 'trait__SpecialNPC_isFTUERoommate' used to be 'trait_SpecialNPC_AlexMoyer' ...because I was using it regularly to save my favorite sims from dying of old age. I dunno why it was changed - my guess is she's classified now as 'Permanent' rather than for a 'Special Offer' = Why remove an asset if it still works perfectly.. just change its meaning to keep it in. These days I use the BabyAriel trait cheat to save my faves :)

Bit of advice on the trash piles. If you don't want your Sims to autonomously clean them up before they turn into a plant, put a fence around it with at least 1 tile between the pile and the fence, and make sure it's not one of the fences a Sim can walk over.

Thank you for uploading this, 'cause I was wondering where I would share what just happened to my sim. I think it's a hidden feature. Here is what happened : - I placed the "wishing well" on my lot, wished to find love and threw 5,000 Simoleons in the well. - I immediately found a random beautiful sim around and flirted with her, went on a date etc. - Fast forward, we got married & I found out that female sim ( called Alex Moyer ), upon moving in with me, had 2.1 Millions in her bank account. 🤯🤯🤯 ( i didn't create Alex...she was generated by the game ! And I somehow think she had that money 'cause I wished for a relationship before flirting with her ) Thought I would share this. Note : I have the lovestruck expansion pack !

My favorite base game feature is once you've got the Expressionistic trait from the Painting Extraordinaire aspiration, you can make Happy (and other Emotions) Potions when bartending. Used it in combo with playful items to kill a lot of NPSims back then 😂 For some reasons I can't kill them that easy anymore.

I'm not sure if it's base game, but children can help toddlers with the potty skill. The island counter meant to be a square outside corner can hold two bar stools. Tables and island counters can be used like desks to hold a computer. So you can make custom desk shapes using island counters. You can also use island counters to make custom size tables, if the tables we have aren't big enough, but you'll sit up higher than a normal table and need to use bar stools. And you can use three-tile-long tables like an especially long desk.

To sims players whose kids arent eating for some reason: If you own Growing Together, if that baby mat thingy is on the lot, there's a high chance child sims won't eat. They'll just hold their food in front of them. To fix this (at least how I fixed it, since I'm a console player) delete the baby mat or put it in inventory, go to manage worlds, then load back into the lot. If it still doesn't work, you may need to close the game and go back into it 😅

Something that's kind of amusing about Trash Plants is that they give sims Uncomfortable Moodlets when they're near a few of them (Or maybe even just one?), with stronger Moodlets being given when larger numbers of Trash Plants are around. lol

Originally I pointed out that the feature in 51 isn't base game. It turns out that yes, it is indeed a base game feature. Children and toddlers can play in sand and older sims can draw in sand in the base game. Though if you want your sim to draw a heart in sand, you do need My Wedding Stories though. And sand sculptures are still in Island Living. How I originally started this comment I have included in the end. Anyway: 82 should only come into effect when sims have their first kiss. I don't know if proposing now requires the first kiss (WooHoo does), but yeah. When 6 hours pass after the kiss, the proposal can then succeed. 99 (the build mode gameplay effects I hope) this can be turned off in Gameplay Options. So yeah, if you don't like these, then good news. Random suggestion, but you could cover the fact that with cheats you can make your own custom NPC sims. I have made a guide on it on EA Forums, so yeah. Old info: [While a great video, I do have to point out that the fact 51 shouldn't be a base game feature as far as I know. Playing in sand came with Island Living and drawing in sand came with My Wedding Stories. Of course if you find out that these are base game features, do let me know.]

Yup, the play in sand and draw in sand was added to the base game in an update. They weren’t written in the patch note of their respective updates so players weren’t really aware of it. I also disabled almost all packs (besides 1 GP and 1 SP for some cosmetic reasons) for this video to make sure

A quicker way to open a whole lot of seed packets is to place them all on the ground, then queue up opening them. The sim doesn't need to go to where you put the seed packets, and although there's a delay between each set of six and the next, it's still much quicker than opening them from inventory.

thanks for no.88 -> my sims's wife died due to drawning on their wedding day so decided to choose next wife from wedding guest. and Alex Moyer is the best option. I didn't know she is immortal until my sims is almost die due to old age but Alex is still young adult. I tried to drown/aging her up but it wont possible, I thought it was a bug. then I made her take the cake from cow plant, it's turned out that she can eat cake only 1 time and cannot take it anymore (the command is gray cannot choose TT). the story end when I make her cheated and divorced remove her from my family, then my sims die and I just know the reason why she never die TODAY. THE END.

62. Actually, you don't just have to do cardio to decrease your Sim's weight. Although cardio is very effective, nearly every exercise in the base game decreases your weight. In fact, the only exercise that I know of that doesn't decrease weight is the basic "Workout" interaction that you showed in the video. I believe that "Heavy Lifting" and "Epic Workout" (from the same machine) both decrease your weight, although not by much. If you're looking to lose weight and gain muscle quickly, consider "Commando Training", unlocked at the punching bag at level 9 fitness; it gives you a good amount of muscle gain and decreases weight even faster than via the treadmill.
