Kate, this is so, so beautiful. I love your modern and huge mansions, but this one is my favorite so far in a long time. The wood panel you used for facade of the house is perfect with the white all around it. And I always enjoy watching you add so many levels to the house. And not making everything square, gives it so much character. I love how you made it look shabby chic. I wish you`d try something in this style, but a lot smaller. Sooo beautiful!

I was thinking about what you mentioned with the idea of putting the family computer in the kitchen. When I was a teen in the early 2000’s my family renovated our kitchen. My mom specifically designed a space in the kitchen where the family computer would be. She decided it was very important for the computer to be in the most busy part of the house. This was because she wanted to make sure that she could always know what was happening on the computer without having to stop what she was doing. Part of this was because us 3 kids would fight over whose turn it was to use the computer. Another reason was that if we said we were doing homework she wanted to know we were not playing games. The last very important reason was because she wanted to make sure that we weren’t getting into dangerous situations with strangers. I didn’t know it at the time, but a number of my friends had very bad experiences with bad adults who would pretend to be a kid their age on kids focused websites.
