you should check out Powderham Castle in Devon, one of the rooms has a window under a fireplace and uses a mirror as curtains. Is amazingly inventive for the 18th century.

they should add a feature to the game that is like "swatch matching" - when you go to filter items it you can click on an item you've already placed and it will bring up all the things in the build category you are in that match the swatch

Same goes with the vampire pack. When I first played it I expected to see more vampires walking around in forgotten hollow but nope besides the Vatores, Vladislaus and one old and creepy vampire that knocks at my sim's door every night, there are pretty much only human sims walking around. Useful when my sim is thirsty as I make her drink from strangers but I just wished to meet more vampires there skskks

First, they had to find a master who would accept them as an apprentice when they were an older kid/teen; usually, the parents would arrange this. Then they'd spend years doing nothing but eating, sleeping, and drinking the craft. In a lot of ways, it was a way more demanding education than a modern day degree.

I know right. People pay as much for this stuff as some indie devs ask for their entire game with way more effort put in. Either the sims team are lazy and dont know what simmers want or EA is choking them with tight budgets and deadlines. My theories: A) EA are bad builders (but then why not ask people like Kayla to contribute to the game, the marketing would be amazing) B) or they are deliberately bad in order to encourage you to rebuild so therefore engage with all aspects of game play. C) or the devs do their building in code rather than the play gui so it never looks the way it’s supposed to and they never check.

I pity them more because of the interface. I tried my cousins sims 4 for ps4 and the controlling... Sims is one of those games that needs to be played with a certain device. In Sims' case, a mouse and Tastatur.

Emilia Jones I don’t think she means to come across rude, but she is trying to hold the creators accountable to a certain level of standard. She has acknowledged in the past that a lot of work is involved in creating game packs, worlds, objects, etc. But the house she created in this video in so much more aesthetically pleasing, and SHE DOESNT GET PAID for creating this. I think the original house is hideous, I don’t want it in my game and I don’t want to have to replace it or build another one simply because the team didn’t put in any additional effort to begin with

"its important when making the roof to look at where the water drips off so you arent having one roof leak onto another and the water get stuck" yas girl laying down laws. that is exactly right, and yeah when building roofs irl you try to use the least material aka the least number of different surfaces at the most appropriate angles and heights, so a square would be easiest cuz you just want an a frame or a pyramid. big houses with lots of floors and odd shapes are harder, just make sure no roofs end in "dead spots" where the water would not get to the ground

oml your house remodeling is astounding! And I completely agree with the fancy box idea. I usually go for a victorian styled house with more bedrooms, than necessary, for my families and spend way too much time designing the interior.

They should really add where the community can pick the style of houses with a new pack. MAYBE even BUILD a house and EA can look at it and put it into the actual new world with the pack, that would be cool.

Conspiracy theory: The person in charge of designing the houses is a plant from a rival company. They were prepared for anything, but it was actually really easy to get into the house design team. Now they make the most ridiculous houses possible, and *nobody even notices*

I feel that perhaps the company doesn’t have enough time to build really good houses. Like they make beautiful worlds and items. They must put all their time in that. Knowing that the sims players can not fix those. Yet they would be able to fix the builds. I feel bad that the creators get rushed so much.
