I cringed when I heard the 'score' written for the Sims 2, 3 and 4. Sad, processed and uninspired. The Sims franchise was dead to me since Sims 2.

Wow. It just made have tears. Which means excelent job. Seen this. Now i am 31. And i still remember playing the Sims at my Pentium MMX. Back when it was made by Maxis. And yes i admit using Rosebud back then just to get the robotmaid. Such a great childhood memories. Now as an adult. I wish to get back in that time. And keep enjoying it. On bottom line...Thank you. Thank so very much for this video and bring the childhood back to many of us.

The music from The Sims 1 feels like it's telling a story. While the others are all good, there was something less engaging about the music. Thos one felt like finding places for objects, painting walls, and ordering food before collapsing, tired but happy, on a mattress to sleep, with one last squee of "new house!"

Jerry is the composer, but you can watch the jazz pianist that actually played the improvisations of some of these songs. John R. Burr is his name. He has an album called "Piedmont Avenue", and a specific video playing "Black(ened) Bird" live, which has a section that really reminded me of The Sims.

Likely my favorite piano song of all time. I used to play this piece myself and it took me 8 years to learn lol.. Not kidding. I learned in couple of page bursts starting in 2008 with years in and out of touching piano, and finally finishing the ending (part with more chords) in 2017. Though now I'd need a refresher on some parts to get it fully back. I can tell you're notes are pretty spot on while there are some subtleties that I never fully got down. Not a judge but my only critique was occasionally feeling the tempo slightly off, causing a little choppiness. Not sure if anyone agrees with that but I know from own experience it's something hard to maintain throughout the whole song. Anyways I've always wanted to learn Sims Build 3 next, but after part 1, is a massive project lol. Thanks for sharing.
