This was one of the first songs I heard from Dimash ,it left me breathless and sobbing with emotion . I could not believe my ears . Dimash by the way is not small he is 6ft 3in tall and slim . He can sing anything from rock ,jazz ,pop and opera (classically trained) He is very well educated speaks Kazakh ,Russian and English plays piano ,dombra ,drums guitar ,basically anything that makes music , He composes ,writes and sings songs of course . He sings songs in at least 13 or 14 languages. The man is a musical genius !!! He is a tireless advocate for peace ,kind and caring . I would love to see you react to his latest song he composed “ One Sky “ he sang it live at his concert in Almaty , Kazakhstan in September 2022 . It’s promoting peace , it is ,in my opinion ,a masterpiece . Thank you so much to you and your lovely wife for your appreciation and support for this multi gifted artist .

And to think he only got better and better after he was done with this competition. I love his versatility more than anything else. I've grown so tired of bands and artists who just sound the same, song after song. You never know what you're going to get next with Dimash. He can go from a song where he's giving it nearly all the range he has to a pop song that has you dancing in the kitchen to a song that's beautifully gentle, mid range with no explosion but you get to hear the silky rich tones of his lower register and each one sounds as good to me as the last.

Down the line, maybe you’ll listen to some of his interviews. He comes over as respectful, humble, patriotic and loving. No scandals with drink, drugs or womanising. Does lots of humanitarian work, continually tries to improve. You mentioned phantom of the opera. You should watch El amor En ti in Spanish, from his recent Almaty concert. The production is epic. Dimash could play both the phantom and the Christine character lol. But Stranger from New Wave 2021, much improved English shows even more Dimash skills. To be honest, anything the dears suggest is going to be special.

Dimash always keeps me on the edge of my seat with this song. The original song is by Lara Fabian, she sang this song with more passion(after all, she wrote the lyrics for Adagio.) 👀Dimash first heard Adagio sung by his (for lack of a better word) muse Lara Fabian. He first heard her at 8 yo and fell in love with her voice and style. Yay - Amy's back. Dimash regularly swims underwater to increase lung capacity, and that "little frame" is 6'3". He could easily perform both parts in Phantom with range left over above and below (ie: Ogni Pietra / Olympico). Also from The Singer is Confessa + Diva Dance, where he begins in Mandarin, completes Confessa in Italian, and kills Diva Dance in Alien. Originally in The Fifth Element, a female opera singer as blue alien Plava Laguna performed Diva Dance, but was digitized to enhance the lows and lend an otherworldly effect to the highs, intended to be impossible for a human to sing. You need to watch some of his newer music, his English has improved and if you can believe it so has his singing. His range has expanded from the Singer days of 2017 = 6 octaves to over 7 octaves currently. In Stranger he displays his Bass range as well as his whistle range. He is singing in English. This is huge. Read about him on Wikipedia. He has been training since 5 years old. He practices for hours a day. If there was a gold medal in singing he would win the Gold. He works tirelessly on his music and has written songs. He was born with perfect pitch. Plays multiple instruments and speaks Kazakhstan, Chinese, and Russian fluently. He is learning English and two other languages. He gives many donations, works with young people, and was raised by his grandmother. In his country, the parents give a son to replace their son. He is very close to his parents and siblings. His family travels with him.

A really beautiful song. A song that Lara Fabian (a Belgian-Canadian singer) has already sung and also written the lyrics for. Dimash has always been a great admirer of Lara. But Dimash takes this song to another level. Every time I feel like I forget to breathe and then burst into tears. The emotions that Dimash sends out with this performance really hit me physically🤯. In this performance you can see that I’m not the only one. I love his outfit with his blue suit and white shoes in this performance. If you watch several videos of him, you will see that he often falls on his knees during many of his performances. So a Dear gave him knee pads as a gift. I don’t think he wore them on stage though. Although he has certainly gotten one or two bruises😂. He said in an interview he trains every day at least 3 hours and he swims under water very often to increase his lung capacity. That's why he keeps the tone going for so long. Another very emotional song for you and your wife Amy is Daybreak also from The Singer competition. The 8th performance. I highly recommend you to watch the version with the story behind on the Gloria Wu channel and then the one from Bastau. I think you will appreciate the Bastau version even more if you’ve seen the Singer version before. As some Dear mentioned in a comment, I totally agree that it is always very frustrating when reactors jump on the Bastau version and don’t know the sad story of this song and don’t even try to activate the subtitles. I can understand that a lot of Dears prefer reactions to this version because it is just incredibly more powerful. In my opinion, however, it loses at bit of its impression, if you don’t know why he sings, the way he sings. This song tells a very sad but true story you can learn in the Gloria Wu video. You really have to watch this with subtitles. It’s really important to know what the song is about. Beside thag in the Singer version he was so sick and had a severe sore throat and fever. He lost his voice the night before his performance of Daybreak. I heard him say in an interview that it was very painful throughout the song, that his throat feels like shredded glass but he didn’t want to disappoint the people who stand behind him and so he pulled himself together and went on stage. He got 5 injections from this doctor in the hospital. And the doctor told him not to sing high notes. You can see how concerned the other competitors were and they suffered with him. They knew he was not doing well and one of them even gave him a very expensive Chinese medicine from his own inventory. The problem was his busy schedule between the performances and he didn’t have enough time to recover. He made very good friends there and many friendships still exist today. After the performance he lost his voice again. What I love about the Chinese competitors is that they don’t behave like competitors. Everyone wishes everyone luck. Everyone watches the other’s performance. Clap, sing along. In my opinion, no one begrudges the success of another. They might not have taken Dimash seriously at first, but that quickly changed after SOS. Through ist honest, cheerful and open nature, he found friends very quickly. Contacts that still exist today. Especially to Terry Lin. Just for fun, Terry adopted Dimash and Dimash named him Papa Lin. Do not be fooled. Terry is older than he looks. He was 50 years old then. They performed together on stage and sang Dimash’s song Unforgettable Day together. They visit each other when they can and send each other birthday greetings. Thank you for your interest (if you’ve read it this far). You may want to see, or even react to, videos that were filmed behind the scenes of the competition. They are very interesting if you want to get to know Dimash from a different, more private side. And they’re pretty funny as he doesn’t take himself too seriously and he’s always joking. It’s unbelievable how he always manages to convey emotions to such a degree. Though I think in this one particular version the emotions he shows are mostly concern about his voice keeping up with the song and the pain he must have been in doing it. The Bastau version (no sore throat) of Daybreak is phenomenal and mind-blowing. So emotional and heartbreaking. Maybe you can do both together. Many reactors do and so you can see the difference between this two performances. In both versions I always cry my eyes out. I don’t know why I have to cry more. Because of the story or the fact, that he was in such pain and performed anyway because he didn’t want to disappoint the audience. Both version were in the same year 2017. There are so many Dimash songs for you to listen to. You both mention Phantom of the Opera. Great songs from Dimash for this vibe are Ava Maria (not what you expect), Olympico and his latest new one from his current Stranger tour El Amor En Ti in Spanish. Dimash plays 6 or 7 instruments, speaks Kazakh, Russian, English and some Mandarin Chinese however he sings in 13 different languages. There is no end to this man’s talent. He was 22 at the time of the Singer competition in 2017 he will be 29 in May and you will be able to see his enthusiasm, appreciation and love of music as you continue your journey. Dimash sings a lot of incredibly beautiful songs, buts this version of "Adagio" from "Singer 2017" is my absolute favorite 🥰 I have different fragments of the song on my doorbell, my alarm clock and my mobiles 😁 Dimash's powerful and emotional voice hits me with such force that all my emotions spill out. The song simply heals me. Hope you will find time to respond to "Ave Maria" sometime. A song with no words, so everyone in the world understands. Many burst into tears when they hear it, myself included. Hi. The music for the song Adagio was written by the Italian composer Remo Giazzotto. The adagio is just a slow-paced piece. According to him, the play is a reconstruction based on a fragment from the music of Tomaso Albinoni, which he found in 1945 on the ruins of the Saxon Land Library destroyed during the bombing of Dresden. The play was first presented in 1958. From that moment on, music was used for songs in dozens of languages and with different names. The version you're listening to was written by Lara Fabian and Rick Ellison.

Love is Like a Dream. SCREAMING MV Across Endless Dimensions MV Ti Amo Cosi from the 65th Anniversary of Igor Krutoy ( no vocal acrobatics, just pure devotion into Lara Fabian’s eyes, one of his childhood idols along with Michael Jackson and other artists) There’s 2 versions he does of the Diva dance. My personal favorite is also from the 2017 I Am Singer called ‘Confessa/Diva Dance’ because of the transition. It’s wonderful to have your beautiful wife by your side in your reactions. You can feed off each other’s energy and reactions which is a bonus for us Dears. ❤❤❤❤ please try to do his earlier work from 2017 onward so you can get the full benefit of witnessing his progress in the present. This is not often suggested because it’s not part of his current repertoire, but in 2012, he and his band, A Studio, did a MV called ‘My Beauty’. He composed the music and his dad wrote the lyrics. Yes - he's amazing and this was back in 2017. Improved since then! Dimash won his first Piano competition aged 8, but also learned to play multiple instruments, including Kazakh traditional ones, like the Dombra. Remember also that at the time of this performance, Dimash had virtually no conversational English and learned the lyrics phonetically (by ear only). Adagio is a song originally written [ the Lyrics ] by the Incomparable Lara Fabian, whom Dimash studied closely and admires greatly. (You should have a look at some of her performances also!) One of the things I've noticed that American Reactors seem to do a lot is try to attached the lyrics to a particular artist / or artist's character. For First Reactions you can still check out if it is a Cover or an Original song before listening. Dimash has written many songs that are very meaningful to him and his culture, or which carry global humanitarian messages - but it's important to understand that at core; Dimash is a Storyteller. Whatever song he sings he enters completely into the the character of the storyline in order to convey the message and the emotion. He is a Master at this. And you're right about the Musical Theatre ' flavour'. Dimash trained extensively in delivering the drama of the story / the script in Classical Opera and also in Musical Theatre. There are very few artists who can sing a contemporary / classical crossover piece and drop to their knees and pound fists on the stage and have it seamlessly 'fit' into the song - without looking Over The Top! But when Dimash does it - we all go; "Oh Yeah! That's perfect!" "Of course he should do that!" "GREAT!!!" 🤣😊 ( or, could it be that we're all just 'Dimashified'? 😆}

Btw, he's very fit and plays a lot of sports, including swimming, football, basketball, running and Tae Kwon Do. In a livestream his backing singer Rassul explained that they went running together every day to build up endurance for the last concert in Almaty in September 2022 and wow, it showed. Dimash did an almost 4 hour concert, dancing, running and jumping all over the stage and barely broke a sweat. I would highly recommend reacting to the two songs from that concert that he dropped separately onto his channel, Durdaraz and El Amor En Ti. For Durdaraz you would have to search Durdaraz Almaty as there are a few versions on his channel but none quite as explosive as at the Almaty concert.

He does underwater breath training as his normal routine to expand his lung capacity. Also, the way he controls his high notes, they don't take that much air. His parents were professional singers and he started voice lessons at 5. And he went to dedicated singing schools.
