When I saw he was singing this song, I thought, "Oh, he's going to butcher the words" And sure enough, I had to read the subtitles to understand the lyrics! The only thing I could regularly understand was, "All by myself." The rest of it was some mysterious, unintelligible garble. But that goes over the Chinese audience's head who think he's singing in perfect English. As far as his singing goes, he's my favorite of the competition. But this performance was just so-so. We've come to expect such a high caliber performance from this young man week after week so I'm being quite critical. I didn't appreciate his showing off high pitched notes towards the end. That didn't add anything valuable to the song. It was almost comical, actually. "Let me show you how high a note I can hit." LOL Ok, Dimash, we all know you can hit those notes. Don't throw them away needlessly. It takes away from them when they really are performed within the context of a song. Thumbs down for me this week, though I remain a big fan....
