“Im fine with being morder, I don’t have to be the brick”, best approach to working with other musicians. Thank you David Ryan Harris for the advice. Thank you Rig Doctor for creating tools for everyone to tell their own unique story.

Fine being the mortar and not being the brick. That’s exactly how I feel. I love being the guy playing the inversions and in’s and outs. It’s really fun and gets you so much better a player.

I had not heard of David Ryan Harris before. Thank you for shining a light on him for me. He has a great voice and his guitar playing supports his music perfectly. Some really lovely low gain tones here. Very inspiring.

DRH is an inspiration to me. I’ve seen him live a few times with JM, and the dude shines. I like how he called himself the “mortar”. He and Pino are the glue and the foundation of that band.

That is exactly what Ive been looking for is a whole-song tube-warmth effect that isnt massively heavy (Ive also been thinking about a solo-acoustic-on-electric-semi kind of-project after composing music unplugged hearing a tone like this in my head for years )...thank you for demoing it this way and thank you Vertex for a beautiful pedal.

He’s description of the Ultra Phonix is so accurate, that pedal is so well designed and has such a good sound it’s ridiculous. Pushed with an Archer Ikon for lead tones, it creates this mid rich and full overdrive tone that’s so rad! This was an exceptionally relatable video for those of us that are not guitar virtuoso’s but enjoy playing music. Well at least it was for me, so thank you! Cheers 🍻

Wow, very cool. DRH was here at the 30A Songwriter Festival a few days ago. Hate that I missed seeing him. Seems like a really cool guy and the sound/vibe he has really compliments his voice & music so well. Really cool approach. (And the pedals sound great, too!)

Very insightful and inspirational, God Bless my musical brother! I for one ,am all ways looking and focusing on the musicians in the background, in my humble opinion, 😎 without them there's simply nothing there ! Although there are many individuals who can sing with out music in the background, extremely talented , but that's a conversation for another day ! No musicians, no rythm, I all ways say ! Peace !😎🙏👍✌

I heard David use tremolo on one version of "Shelter", I'm wondering if anyone knows what tremolo pedal he uses? He's become an important influence and I'm looking to add tremolo to my board. Something subtle and warm. His sounded great so I thought it'd be a good place to start.

Note to Vertex: put the guy’s name in the title of your video and on the thumbnail image. Uncool not to.
@VertexEffectsInc2 жыл бұрын
Our goal is to get the most eyes on the video with the titling and the thumbnail so more people learn about David Ryan Harris and his gift as a musician, singer, and songwriter. This is the game we're all forced to play on KZbin (regarding titles and thumbnails) in order to stack the deck in favor for views and time spent on the video. We spend a lot of time researching what optimizes best for titles and thumbs on Google, and then choose accordingly. If we're both aligned on wanting more people to learn about DRH than before, then would an omission (like not using his name in the title) be acceptable if it drew a larger audience of new viewers? I would hope you'd agree that it would be. Again, the objective being to share DRH's approach and artistry with the largest audience possible. Believe it or not, the thumb and title have a lot to do with that and the success of the video. It's not a snub to the artist, his name and credentials are the first things you see when playing the video, so I'm not sure why you'd imply bad faith or assume negative intent.
