It's possible that this was a teaser for what is to come in Shadowbringer. Something similar happened in ARR, when Urianger teasered the final fight against Nidhogg, long before the release of Heavensward with a poem: "The northern sky does burn full bright upon the wyrm lords call. The red behemoth beckenod and flame consumeth all".

Spoilers ahead, don't read it if you didnt't beated Shadowbringers: The Warrior of light was one of the firsts Ascians that summoned Hydalyn in order to stop the sacrifices of Zodiark (summoned by another faction of Ascians). Hydalyn defeated Zodiark and by this that the world collapsed and splitted in 12 shards or fragments included the souls of every single Ascian (only a few ascians conserved their souls as a whole like Lahabrea). The warrior of light doesn't remember his origins because his splitted soul but Thordan almost see his true form.

Ignore everything Neos and German said. While what they said is *technically* true, its not what the scene is about. The devs themselves said that its nothing more complex than an old delusional man seeing you as a monster for having withstood his power.

I just Finnished heavensward last night and the Scene at 13:10 keeps getting me hyped and gives chills too. I really want to know but I'll wait until I get there. Still I wonder what it all means. Since I'm a black mage and was using the Sorcerers set...Dude omg. My characters looked a fucking badass with the black light and the obscured face. Yo, I'm so hyped for stormblood and shadow bringers. Just started playing this game and it's so damn good.
