Cheryl must be the strongest little lady I know of my heart truly goes out to her I sincerely hope she is able to have a relationship with her granddaughter that she had ALWAYS been denied... I'm astonished by her, and slightly ashamed of myself. When I saw them wheeling that little old lady in, with her hair in bunches, I too, underestimated her. She spoke beautifully and eloquently and reminded me that one should never judge a book by it's cover. It's a crying shame her granddaughter has been so taken in by her mother, but it's not her fault, she's been brainwashed by a very conniving woman. She will discover the truth one day, truth having the uncanny ability to come out, in the end. As for the dude who killed his "best friend" for his woman - lowest of the low. What a dreadful end he gave his poor friend. Unforgivable. Hearing him confess, I think he knows that.

A mother _knows_ when something ain't right. She could feel it in her bones that what happened to her son was not an accident. Her granddaughter will hopefully gain some maturity in the years to come and realize that her grandmother was a victim of betrayal, too. I don't understand why the local retailers weren't questioned after Mike went missing, to see if any of them had recently sold a shovel or other suspicious items to Brian, especially since his affair with Denise was common knowledge. RIP, Mike. You deserved a better wife and for sure a better friend.

Saddest thing is that her granddaughter still believes that her mother is innocent. Just how sad can that be. Not even questioning your mother about it, not even questioning her when she already declared her dad dead after just 6 months and freshly found evidence. Her granddaughter didn't even question Brian's marriage to her mother. How brainwashed can that girl be... is beyond me. Truly, truly sad. Hats off for Mike's mother fighting for all the years, hats off to her finally finding her son's remains and giving him a proper burial. 14:00 she is cold heartedly confessing to the police as someone trying to cover-release herself from a hidden and a more serious issue. That is why emotionally she is not as someone spontaneously struck by the events experienced in her declaration to the police but actually her talking is cold hearted and calculated. To me she is unconsciously accusing herself as having a part on her husband’s dead.

This story hits my heart like no other crime story. There’s something about the pictures and films of Mike. He had an unmistakable kindness in his countenance. When I think of the person he thought was his best friend shooting at him and clearly trying to kill him it breaks my heart. The cruelty and betrayal is too much to take. The fact that Brian and Denise think they are Christians is an indictment of the terrible state of Christian leadership in our culture. People parading as pastors who aren’t teaching God’s word. Make no mistake, these people are not Christians. Jesus forbid his disciples from using violence (even to stop those who came to arrest him). These two are just straight up, cold blooded killers. During the trial it appears perhaps Brian has had an awakening by confessing and repenting of his sins. To confess and repent is at least a sign of a change of heart. But Denise denies her twisted, evil betrayals to this day. She’s far to busy serving herself to have room for God in her heart.

And Denise being so against divorce! But murder she’s ok with?
@JonBlackstone11 ай бұрын
@@suejohnson8457 Agreed! I hate to say this; but I lived in Nashville for 10 years (the Bible Belt). There are more churches per capita in Nashville than any other city in the U.S. but Nashville is home to the worlds largest adult bookstore and countless strip clubs. I'll never forget during the Gulf War one of the local strip clubs wrote "God Bless Our Troops" on the marque outside. In other words going to church in the south is more of a cultural thing than an authentic desire to follow Jesus. It's what I call "cultural Christianity". Of course that's happening all over the country; but it becomes really obvious when you live in the south. Brian and Denise strike me as classic examples of that kind of "Christian". They prayed, and went to church at the same time as they were going to strip clubs, getting drunk, making lesbian sex videos, committing adultery and ultimately murdering the man they were committing adultery against. Think about that for a second. Both Brian and Denise actually talked about scripture as they were considering how they would murder Mark. I don't believe you could find a more profound example of how people can be so deceived about the state of their own wickedness and Godlessness. Personally it has made me look very deep into my own heart; and to ask God to reveal any wickedness in my own heart. As the Bible tells us, "The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? “I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.” Jeremiah 17:9-10
