The Sinking of the Britannic - A Minecraft Short Film

On the 21th of November, 2016, the largest British ship in the world struck a mine in the Kea Channel and sunk in 55 minutes. As she went down, 30 people lost their lives. This is the story of the HMHS Britannic, the Ultimate Olympic Ship.

Who else thinks the story of the Britannic is the saddest one ever for ocean liners, Never getting to be with her sister, Titanic, being built without her, only a little bit of her was laid, near Titanic after the May 31, 1911 launch, then when she finally gets launched, she only sees some interiors, but then a very strong war begins, and she is forced to become a hospital ship, which she was good at, but not her intention, she would have been a great ocean liner, and she gets released for a while, hoping to fulfill her destiny of an ocean liner, but then gets recalled, and during her final voyage, she hits a mine and sinks, just so sad, some of the nice things she would have had, an organ in her grand staircase, the beautiful tiles, the beautiful dining room and reception room, the huge restaurant, the winter garden on A Deck, the improved stern, giving third class an upgrade, the improved rooms for all classes, the playroom, the extra cabins, just so sad. Sadder than Titanic because at least Titanic saw some of one intended voyage.

She was also the youngest of the three, I can't imagine how Olympic felt. She loses Titanic after setting out on her maiden voyage, the survivors must have been terrified of her because she looked almost exactly like the ship they escaped from. She's forced to carry her dead sister's lifeboats as a result of the tragedy. WW1 breaks out and she is called to serve, she loses her younger sister, Britannic in 1916. In 1918, Olympic almost gets torpedoed by U-103 and rams her. At least she had a happy life in the 1920s until 1929 when the stock market crashed, she was losing passengers and that meant no money, she was also getting outdated by the 1930s so she got a refit to gain her passengers again but it still wasn't working out for her. In 1935, White Star Line put her up for auction. Sadly no one wanted to buy her so she ended up getting sold for scrap without a send off on her final voyage. Olympic lived a life that her sisters never got to see, she stood strong and carried on for them. She fought and survived the war only to lose popularity and money 10 years later. She died without farewell from those who travelled with her. I think Olympic's story is the saddest, she was the first in her class and outlived both of her sisters, only to die a brand new ship after her 1930s refit in attempt to make her appealing again. Poor girl, she'll always be loved and remembered.

@@owengifkins995 in 1911 Hull number 433 has already been named Britannic as said by the yard book at that year, thats way before Titanic sank so at its planning they already wanted to name it after the First Britannic that exceeded the Oceanic class.
