Australian Open 2017 was my favorite Grand Slam to watch in the 15 years I’ve watched tennis. Venus’ run, Serena being pregnant, Nadal and Federer coming back. AO17 really encompassed the greatest generation of tennis into the women’s and men’s finals. I feel very fortunate to be a tennis fan during the rise and sustainment of the Williams Sisters, Federer and Nadal. Four legends that will truly create a void once they hang up their rackets.

But we did not she was pregnant at the time (so that part is irrelevant). I do agree about venus' run though. However, I found her run at Wimbledon to be utterly outstanding as she was genuinely playing better, more efficient tennis even than when she won and dominated Wimbledon years ago. Lord knows how she gave in to Muguruza in the final...
@georgiabarker68523 жыл бұрын
@@aaronwilkins1843 yea the final she played at Wimbledon was really disappointing; especially considering she looked so good leading up to that final. It's like nerves got the better of her and she just gave up in that match with Muguruza. There was no fight.

The sport of Women's Tennis will never recover when these two dynamic, driven, focused, talented, smart, funny, intelligent, beautiful, athletic, and loving sister's bid farewell to the sport that they lifted up so high. It will be a very emotional day for me and as well as millions of fans around the world. Not to mention Venus and Serena. I started watching tennis in 2000 to find out what all the hype was about these two lovely ladies. And haven't been able to stop watching since.
