2 Years later and she's going to be up for it soon again! I know she can take Serena down as she has done before, and Brady or Muchova do not have enough. Naomi has been waiting for this. I have too. Welcome back my winner!

Rooting for Petra. Such determination to come back after horrific knife attack. I recently saw the released photos of her hand after attack and it’s a miracle she’s even playing tennis. She’s been through so many lows it’s so amazing for her to be here

Hoping for Naomi back to back GS. This girl's draw was a lot more tougher and more enduring than Petras, although she did well. And if Naomi wins it, I'll be able to remember typing down this comment! Good luck to both, GAMBARIYO NAOMI-CHAN!

Good match but close. Revel in the moment Team Osaka. Work to be done however, no time to rest. Sport science is factoring in and HAS factored in your style of play. One MUST utilise more of the court applying dink and slice shots, more kick serves,getting to the net to volley and PLEASE learn to alter your grips. One cannot remain with the existing limited arsenal and believe you will not be beaten regularly. First set, Ms.Kvitova did four crafty dink shots.....while you remained fixed, centre and baseline. Not a ball feeding coaching session..... Harsh comments maybe in a celebratory period but the gladiator season has begun. Not every show of teeth directed your way may be a smile...it may be a grimace.
@fstech23316 жыл бұрын
Kvitova played horrible players to get to the final. She didn't play one player in the top 10.

Yh sure who were her opponents again? Oh yeah QF: Ash Barty ranked 12 - she would go on to become world no.1 and win RG 4R: Amanda Anisimova- she would reach the RG semifinals and knock out defending champion Halep 3R: Belinda Bencic - the former world no.7 who would win Dubai and reach the US Open SFs and reach world no.4 the following year. But because they weren’t in the top 10 when Petra played them, they are all trash to you. Rank isn’t always everything.

petra is d favorite but i go 4 0saka
@ricklee54316 жыл бұрын
@Solomon Jaiche - how is Petra the favourite? Is that according to the betting odds? I am just curious.
@solomonjaiche84636 жыл бұрын
Rick Lee lol m confused how to differentiate between them since kavitova is left handed i guess she's the favorite u know left handed r tough in some ways but i support osaka.. its not about betting😊😊
@ricklee54316 жыл бұрын
@@solomonjaiche8463 Yeah well, thanks for that. Here on network TV they often show the betting odds and it seems to really influence the opinion of people. Or, in this particular case, Petra was talked up as the sentimental favourite. This also tends to sway the minds of the masses. So now that Naomi has won, you owe me a beer 😇

@blackspiderman18876 жыл бұрын
I know shes representing Japan, but I feel she should be representing america. Japanese usually don't mix outside their race. So they shouldn't get credit for this beautiful mix woman. However Americans (And some other countries) mix all the time.
@ketal60556 жыл бұрын
That's an unfair statement you just made and, yes, the Japanese do have interracial marriages. But you need to understand that Japan isn't like the US where for a century there have been many different ethnicities/races immigrating here, which obviously would increase the rate of interracial marriages in the US, unlike in Japan. And the reason she's playing for Japan is because the USTA turned her down. So it's not Naomi or Japan's fault that she is representing Japan
@CptCage6 жыл бұрын
Osaka can’t even speak. Rooting for Petra all the way just so I don’t have to hear another dumbfounding speech from Osaka. She is from the US as well and acting like she’s Japanese is inaccurate as she doesn’t even live there. I have ancestors from other countries such as Germany but that doesn’t make me German instead of American.
@thangvuong91966 жыл бұрын
Naomi was born in Japan, her mother is Japanese, plus the Japanese Tennis Federation funded her junior training, which the USTA chose not to do. So why should she represent the U.S.?

@CptCage6 жыл бұрын
Thang Vuong she moved to the US before she could walk dude. She has never associated with Japan in anything outside of tennis. Her representing them was a financial decision not an ancestor one. I’d be embarrassed to represent a country I had never known just because they want to pay me more.
@hiltongordon-smit82036 жыл бұрын
And you need to speak to be a tennis player and back2back Grand Slam winner? Well, it seems Naomi spoke with her racket AGAIN
