Saw the original line up back in the day many times they were majestic. Saw them in Birmingham a few years back and they were no where near as good. This is just sad really. They havent had a live bassist for a long while. Though it shouldnt make much difference as the bass after Craig adams left was done via sequencer in the studio. As for the laughable comment about "needing a drummer", well the band have done quite well without one, Eldritch played drums on their first single and then the Doktor took over. To say they "Need a drummer", shows your ignorance and stupidity.

Andrew Eldritch has started to look like Richard O'Brien. That aside, this is definitely not the best performance of this song. He does get points for just carrying on over 40 years after the band started, but this performance is pretty lackluster. If you compare SOM at present to, say, Fields of the Nephilim, the latter have held up a bit better.

Nowadays, Eldritch looks like Rob Halford in the 2000's. It's a bit ironic i think. Agreed 100 % with what you said about FOTN. And i think that it's because Carl Mc Coy took care of his voice. Eldritch didn't.

They were huge for some time, for some people. I treasured those recordings as something unique and distinctive. Glad they don't record anything since then, good for them. They should have drop it there, it was good enough. They shouldn't attend fan claims to appear live if they aren't prepared for it. Though, love them, they kicked out, first and last and always in my car's stereo.

It is Eldritch's it is his music .he can do what the hell he wants with it and change it whatever way he wants to.Sisters left a legacy for others to follow .he as nothing to prove that he as not already done decades ago. He owes us nothing and it is very little surprise that he won't release anything new to the the market .the song still stand good and most are still a million time better than what is passed off as Goth these days which has just become a money making parody of the whole post Punk and early Goth ideal now its just about money, I can not blame Eldrich milking that one just the same as the Mission have been doing for the last decade .last time I saw Wayne he was being a real arsehole throwing temper tantrums in some small club storming off stage a trainwreak of a performance. Eldrich dose not give a shit and just as a laugh good for him.

I try. I try. I swear I try. Been a fan since the first singles, way before FALAA. But I just can't tolerate this lineup, the 80's cliched guitars, the uptempo of the songs, the lack of a bloody bass, the sound of that toy electronic drum, the lack of synths and the way he sings the songs. Oh well, I'm happy they are still around... but I wouldn't pay to see this live. Great upload anyway and superb quality. Cheers from Argentina.

Since the beginning of the 21st century, it is an interesting nuance as far as image is concerned, Andrew underwent a metamorphosis becoming his own logo, a caricature, he stopped being 'gothic', his sound is a degraded pop, very sad, it is far his great show at 'Royal Albert Hall', among others, we will keep those memories and forget this Mera Luna 2022.

I was a casual fan, beginning in 1986 hearing First...as a teenager in high school, Jr year. Was in college when FL and VT were released. And A slight case of over bombing GH album was great. I was living in AZ. Almost saw them with Public Enemy in 91 in Phoenix. They've not done anything since that era. Sound terrible now. Just another band like Blue Oyster Cult, any old act out there playing the hits to make money. Guess it's their right to do that, and mine to ignore. I'll stick with the records.
