In a sea of faces, in a sea of doubt In this cruel place your voice above the maelstrom In the wake of this ship of fools I'm falling further down If you can see me, Marian, reach out and take me home I hear you calling Marian Across the water, across the wave I hear you calling Marian Can you hear me calling you to Save me, save me, save me from the grave Marian Marian, there's a weight above me And the pressure is all too strong To breathe deep Breathe long and hard To take the water down and go to sleep To sink still further Beneath the fatal wave Marian I think I'm drowning This sea is killing me I hear you calling Marian Across the water, across the wave I hear you calling Marian Can you hear me calling you to Save me, save me, save me from the grave Was ich kann und was ich könnte Weiß ich gar nicht mehr Gib mir wieder etwas schönes Zieh mich aus dem Meer Ich höre dich rufen Marian Kannst du mich schreien hören Ich bin hier allein Ich höre dich rufen Marian Ohne deine Hilfe, verliere ich mich in diesem Ort I hear you calling Marian Across the water, across the wave I hear you calling Marian Can you hear me calling you to Save me, save me, save me from the grave Marian Marian Marian Marian Marian Marian Marian Marian Marian Marian Marian Marian

I think I would have been about 10 when my older sister was playing this album, given the year it came out. She used to let me sit in her bedroom with her to listen to "that Marian song band, please". I always sat perfectly still through the entire album - I loved it (still do). When she moved away from home, she left all her vinyl behind. I was in heaven - this album was among those vinyls.

*Conversations in the Primordial Soup of Gravity and Size* *Disciple Aleister:* I am the one who loves knowledge, who has sought the craft of the mouth... *Master Belial:* If the Devil is a trickster then God is only a jokester. You call out to other boys whom you worship blindly. Why don't you do your math homework, instead or set to the forms and cutting of the chalice? Pythagoras is waiting. *Disciple Aleister:* What is its nature? What is the shape of the papyrus plant? *Master Belial* The scribe seeks only knowledge and wisdom, and this is inextricably linked to paper, but the truth is that many seek only resources, and knowledge used to be rarer and cost many coins, thus one must worship other men for either. A man who is born into resources must do the opposite, he must gather other men or he will lose his stature. This is the jokester's triumph, for he cares little for wealth and gathers many men, and the trickster would have them both, though he is already fallen from one. *Disciple Aleister:* And he calls out to her seven-thousand times, seventy-seven times... *Master Belial:* You seek the truth, yet you desire consolation. She is only destructive and has many faces to hide her nature. -Alcuin, Villard, and Belial
