The entire planet was just so in love with this beautiful man

When Elvis died, I was 9 years old, in communist Romania. My mother listened to him and my love for him came from her. I look at these videos and imagine how happy those people were who listened to him live. If I had been older, I think I would have sold anything to come to the USA to one of his concerts. For me he was and will remain the greatest musician of all time.

Yes, I feel the same…as all of Elvis’s real fans….we NEVER get enough of him. UTube….day and night….easily 80% of the 24 hrs. What a gift he was! No doubt the fact that we can continue to see and hear him keeps his memory…and our love for him fever pitched. I am rather bemused by the intensity of the love I feel for a man I never met. His charisma, his personality transmits through media…in his voice, his facial expression…..in the videos of rehearsals, interviews and performances. Elvis will be deeply loved eternally. Rest easy beautiful man ♥️🇨🇦🌹

Just brilliant. I wish he reserved 15-20 minutes of every concert to sit down with this guitar/piano and just play songs. All the high intensity action on stage is great, but this performance shows his abilities, and magical chemistry when simply part of a band (which is how he started out). That's why the 68 Comeback Special is so compelling, and IMHO, his best performance.

Elvis was the greatest entertainer that ever lived. Unfortunately, he was a drug addict. When I am at Graceland, I actually get a little sad. This man had everything and it was his addiction that took it all away. A great lesson for us all. Stay away from drugs and alcohol.

@@roydavidson2633 unfortunately it wasn't that simple. The government- The US Government has ruined a many of lives, a million different ways. Elvis was introduced to speed the same as a MILLION of young troops. That being said, there was NO formula for his peak of fame. He was trying to navigate the best he knew how. His schedule alone... Geez NO ONE could survive that sober. The sheer exhaustion. Elvis had MAJOR health problems compounded by his career & lifestyle exasperated by the lack of medical technology. It's heart breaking really. Maybe you should read " Destined to die young". Elvis had MAJOR health problems from birth. There is WAY more to that story. His mom, Grandma Doll & 6 of his 8 uncles all died in their 40's. He took perscriptions to deal with his Genetic health problems, his enlarged paralyzed colon, Glaucoma, Antitrypsin Deficiency, a condition which can result in lung and/or liver disease both of which he had severely at the time of his death. Elvis was never a smoker or drinker. He had Together with the immune system disorder, hypogammaglobulinemia, which plagued Elvis all his life and caused him to constantly fight various infections. His “inherited” weak heart, reactive arthritis, and the impact of his nocturnal lifestyle, resulting in a lack of vitamin D, the effects of which contributed to respiratory infections, reduced immune function, and inflammation. Of the 11 bodily systems that operate to keep us alive and hopefully healthy. Critically, Elvis suffered disease or disorder in nine of them! And five were present from birth and pre his fame. His heart (circulatory system), his lungs (respiratory system), and his bowels (digestive/excretory systems) required medication. Insomnia affected his nervous system……His immune system was compromised. His urinary system was not functioning properly. At one point there was even talk of dialysis. Often he is dismissed as just another rock ‘n’ roll drug addict. He wasn't taking street drugs. He was taking perscriptions not to "ESCAPE" h was taking them to try to maintain some sense of normalcy as himself in a time where the medical field was limited. No DNA, Genetics, No MRI's, little known about the addiction, his dystrophy & No understanding of Vitamin D even. Looking at the illnesses and disorders, that mounted upon each other over the decades, it’s no coincidence that Elvis’ prescription drug use increased as his health declined. From ear infections to chronic tonsilitis to recurrent flus to eye infections and glaucoma…..these arguably insignificant ailments independently, grew into something more. As his body broke down, alongside multiple immune system disorders and genetic complications, prescription medication and his handy PDR tried to fill the gaps. When that no longer worked, hospital stays became the norm and his list of ailments grew. The sicker he got, the more prescriptions he was prescribed. He was seeing a cardiologist before he bought Graceland. He was 20yrs old. They have gone through Elvis's entire life of medical records & now have an entire different story now. This is all the facts Geraldo & 20/20 never stated.
