I have studied the tank 'aspect' of this particular war and i have some strong doubts the egyptians would've conquered Israel both in '67 and in '73 even if they had achieved a breaktrough and invaded israeli soil-they stil would've had to fight in the Israeli cities and that means there would be a long way to go-cities are not open deserts and are more easy to defend against armour.

This shows the difference in military theory between the Arabs and Isrealis. The Arabs subscribe to the theory of overwhelming numbers, but maybe not the best trained vs. the Isrealis going with they having smaller numbers that are far better trained. To put it another way, it is quantity vs. quality.

I'm not very knowledgable about military stuff but I had a Rabbi speak to us in the synagogue. He was fighting Egyptians tanks in the Sinai in the 6 day war. He said the Egyptian tanks completely surrounded and outnumbered the Israeli tanks but when they spotted the Jewish soldiers in Tefillin, the Egyptians got scared and thought it was some sort of new weapon of war and retreated, allowing Israel to carry on. Now i'm not sure if this is true or not but given the war only lasted 6 days and went so smoothly for Israel, I wouldn't be surprised if it was true.

It absolutely horrifies me that the Israelis are prancing about celebrating their great victory. They should be on their knees, thanking the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob for His hand in these great victories. I frequently pray for Israel and for the Peace of Jerusalem. Shalom. Israel is an anvil, upon which many hammers have been broken, and will continue to be broken. Thanks be to GOD. Give God the glory!

Israelis lived for generations knowing that the October 1973 war was a defeat for Israel, a fact that all Israelis know, while Egyptians have been celebrating every year since then. The famous victory speech given by Sadat in the Egyptian Parliament on October 6, Egyptians celebrate the National Day of the Great October Victory. Then with the spread of the Internet and communication sites, the Israelis woke up from a deep slumber. Then they remembered and said we won. This is ridiculous.😆..

I give this documentary a D-. 'Foreground' music is too loud, translators have far too thick of an accent, making them almost completely unintelligible, the music pretty much makes them completely unintelligible, far too many 'explosions'. Why do directors think that one of the greatest battles is so bland that they must uber hype the drama. Maybe they subconsciously believe themselves to be incompetent at the task. Rant off.

RIP to the brave Israelis that gave the ultimate sacrifice. Israel’s victory broadcast and display a tremendous warning ⚠️ sign to evil tyrants all over the same: Bully be afraid, be very afraid. However, in realty we are know evil tyrant regimes operate by weaponizing fear, and oppressive the weak essentially bully with weapons. Israel’s victory actually message to the underdog’s of the world: If the cost of a nation’s power and strength comes from oppressing the people then you are not a nation but a kingdom. A nation can only function when the power and strength comes from the representatives of the indivisible elements, which could only be the sovereign of the individual. Plain and simple a nation power comes from bottom up, and when power comes from top down then its a kingdom. But hey who am I to judge just an average Joe living in a live and let live country.
