New subscriber for The Sixsters! As this year has progressed, more and more people are learning about this band, and they're starting to get a lot of reactions. The reason is simple--they well and truly kick ass. The more you learn about this band and their enormous talent, the more compelling they become. They have some more recent videos that are great. I recommend "Feels" "For us...For me..." and "Seem to Dance" as a good start. You'll find their songs are completely different from each other, and they jump between styles and genres effortlessly. The Sixsters has a Wikipedia page. They put out 2 albums in last few years. The Drummer, Kateryna, stated the band in 2018 with 5 other teens. Before the conflict. 2 of the original members left. Since the start of the conflict. The families fled Ukraine for Germany as refugees & was scattered. They mat up in Essen, Germany to resume the band. The last 3 original members left the band to go back to Ukraine. Leaving Kateryna as the only original member left. They're leaving one spot open just in case a member who left to go back to Ukraine can rejoin after the war if they choose. City was done earlier by the original members. But it was in Ukrainian. The Sixsters only play origial songs. Doing a livestream Q&A. I asked if they do covers. Maraii (guitar & lead vocalist) said *"Why play someone elses songs when we can play our own".* But she also said they play covers but only in rehersals. Fair enough to me. I love their song *"I stare at you...".* Such a beautiful song written by teens. They're only getting better.

Awesome band. Their newest album is ‘To Be Continued’ from this year. Every song is different but equally awesome. ‘Feels’, For Us, For Me’, I Stare, at You, ‘Hurricane in My Soul’. Pick anything cuz you really have to do everything to get the feel of the band. They do whatever they want musically & it’s all awesome (it really doesn’t get more punk-rock than that) They are currently refugees in Germany as their previous studio is rubble under the jackboots of a madman.

Welcome to The Sixsters, I came across them about 6 weeks ago and quickly became ny favorite band. They have gone through a number of enforced changes ove the last few years due to the war in thier Country. You'll find that no two songs sound the same with them, they change between styles effortlessly. For a newer song with the current line-up try Feels, different vibe entirely and lyrics driven from their recent experieces of loss and pain (do you really want to feel?). The band started in 2018 by then 9 year old Kate, the drummer. She had a YT channel doing drum covers since aged 7 and by this time had started playing as a guest with adult bands, she wanted to form her own band but didn't know anyone close by, so her dad advertised for musician girls and The Sixsters were born. Originally there were 6 girls, so the name came from six sisters who rock. The band was quite stable for a few years, the vocalist changed very early on and they added a second bass player, as 7 year old Taya on Bass lived too far away and couldn't make all events they were going to, so had a membership of 7 girls. In 2021 both guitarists changed during the year to current guitarists Maria and Anna. They had a Stadium tour of Ukraine lined up for May 2022 with one of Ukraines biggest Rock bands, their break through moment, then Russia invaded. Kate's home, where they had their studio was destroyed in the bombing and most girls families fled Ukraine, to Germany, Spain and Switzerland. Taya, who lives near the border with Poland, family stayed in Ukraine. Five months later, 5 of the girls met up in Germany and retarted the band, the vocalist chose not the rejoin, so Maria took over vocals. Since then in late summer 2022 and Spetember 2023, the bass player and keyboard player (turntable on City) both returned to Ukraine, so they were replace by two new girls, also Ukrainian refugees. The band here in 2022 were Kate (13) drums, Polina (14) bass, Maya (12) turntable/keyboards, Anna (19) lead guitar and Maria (15) vocals. Obviously 2 years older today. Maya's place was taken by Sofia, unsure her age. Any video before 2024 was Maya. These girls will be massive I'm sure, they've had to fight like no other to maintain their dream. On a side note, you've no Warning video's yet, my other favorite band, lol. 3 sisters from Mexico, they are currently in Japan where they are playing a big show with Band Maid, both bands are great fans of each other. So Sixsters, try Feels, for Warning, try Evolve :)

I've sent requests to over 20 reactor's (last night) to try out this band. This is the second reaction so far (I sent 2 GEN reactions msg's over the week end an his done a couple already). Thanx for the background on these girl (kids) and the challenges they're faced with. Awesome band that will only grow.

Hey ... Thanx heaps for that. These guys are only kids - 14 - 18 year olds. PLEASE don't give up after just one song. Try "Feels" or "Hold". "Hold" is an acoustic song and is a very popular song with the small fan base (but growing rapidly) they have. They've had a few line up changes due to their parents fleeing the war in Ukraine but I read that the current line up are living in Germany. Can't imagine how good they'll be in another 5 or so years. Again, thanx so much for giving them a crack. Darren from Aust.

Their ages are Kate (drums) 15, Maria (lead vocals, rhythm) is 17, Anna (lead) 21, Polina (bass) 16, and Sofia (keyboards) 17 or 18. They may be a little off because of birthdays. Maria's is July and Anna's is December, so those are right.

Yes, the Sixsters are great. Each song is very different but very well done. And you can't pick a bad song ... ❤ Next song? Mhhh ... Try "For us ... For me..." They deserve many more followers 🤘But you will not gain many views and I really don't understand why 😮 Maybe they should dress in maid outfits 😂

There's only 1 Band Maid haha. These girls will grow musically over the next few years and people like us can say "The Sixsters??? ... yeah, I've been followin them for years" haha.
