Daniel is so calm and humble...I still dream of going to AARP Porto some day. Thank you for this episode. It's great to hear what Daniel has to say and a little about him and his work. Now, his ego doesn't match his talent...like the egos of some I have seen...but It's perfectly allright to have big egos when they are such good artists and work so much...it's fine...just acknowledging Daniel is the serene type...but his art is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Question, i have recently found this series and have been burning through the videos and love listening to how everyone uses there sketchbook differently and how they have different views on how to go about the process. My question is, is there any plans to release a compilation sketchbook with all of the different sketches made throughout the series?

@@tintinolho I’m seeing a lot of drawing design and invention by Micheal Hampton in your portraiture . I like your portrait style it’s one of the reasons I draw with ballpoint pen.

Yessss!!! I discovered this series in the middle of the first lock down but I stopped watching because the editor keeps on switching angles. I only need to see the artist's face once or twice at most. The rest of the video should just be for the art in the sketchbooks. I don't understand the use of some of the angles. Like 2:52. What the hell is that? Can't see anything clearly. I'd watch every episode if they re-uploaded it with a focus on just the sketchbooks.

As a so called ‘fine’ artist, who was criticised constantly throughout my training for being interested in both the figure and the history of illustration, I certainly believe that illustration and fine art should be regarded as different expressions of the same impulse, which is picture and object making, visual story telling, and evoking an aesthetic or emotional response from the viewer.

What is the difference between the Comparative and Russian drawing method? I am guessing the Russian is based on construction. The Comparative doesnt' take construction in consideration?

I love Bic pens because they work well with watercolours but the blobs of extra ink does annoy me. What would be the next cheap option ? As much as would love to use Mont Blancs like Kim Jung Gi, the cost is way above what I can afford ;-)
@oliveuk
@oliveuk 2 жыл бұрын
Kim Jung Gi is really good at making the most of the ink blobs to do his shading though.
