I've seen a lot of people still referring to buff prices for reference for the time being. I'm not sure if the effect will be as damaging as some might think. Sure, they're be less people to sell to, but the Chinese also hold a ton of the stock of skins at this point, so even if there are less buyers, there will also be less skins on the global market (minus China) so prices might stay the same or even go up on certain items that are overly horded in China... who knows though

There is plenty of overseas Chinese, Chinese students studying abroad, Chinese in China with foreign bank accounts, foreigners living in China with Chinese bank accounts. Shouldn't make too much of a difference, just a smaller group of people can be the bridge. The bigger problem is I think as soon as someone high up in the Chinese government realises the damage cs gambling, including case opening is doing to kids the game could get completely banned in China.

This just seems like natural selection to me, cs gambling effected me as I was growing up but it taught me that gambling will always be a losing battle, and I didn't have to lose my house and family to learn that lesson. Kids who are in shambles because of CS gambling likely would've and will fall into some other trap like alcohol or drugs. Additionally, you can still exchange Skins for Skins, if you want something expensive, give more skins, then that person is in charge of selling what you have given them in their country. There is no science, very easy. The economy changes a little but I think trading has revived for those who dedicate the time.

You don't have to, there's plenty of cheap knives that a normal low wage job can get you easily. I use a Huntsman Black laminate MW that I got for 150 usd. But of course, if you want one of the top knifes with rare gem patterns like a butterfly Emerald you should be prepared to choose between a nice car and one of those knives.

Trying to think about it economically that means supply is now split in half making it artificially lower for everyone. So if demand is still the same prices could go up. I honestly don't think this will be the end of the world. Some skins that are widely popular in china will never recover sure, but for MOST people this wont affect us. Because stock of skins that were selling easily on buff will no longer be selling as easily in western only markets forcing prices to come down. Rarer skins might get more expensive if they become harder to find. But losing access to a market usually means less money coming in and less competition for higher priced items, which means lower prices to keep the money flowing.
