Nice! Personally I'd love to see a second generation "Monster" in bronze! So.. No I don't think they have gone too far! ☺️👍 I agree, I like the all bronze bezel too.

That would be great, more so the old style (1st-3rd gen). Yet again since Seiko have discountinued those generations think it would be something people would love to have 😀

I have partly so will do a video on that. Straight off the bat i can say not all SKX parts fit but some do such as dials.

They aren't making too many bronze watches imo. It just gives us more variety to choose from. Don't like bronze? Buy stainless steel.

The case between the lugs is also different than a actual SKX case. No taper next to the springbar, which will make it tighter to fit straps. Noticed on a steel version I ordered and is the same here. Pictures of the steel version are different on there site. Besides that, quality is good.

As for the extended wait. It is taking much longer for products to leave China due to the issues in Hong Kong. The customs personnel are being extra thorough which is adding 1-2 weeks delay.

I've been waiting since spring and was going to get one but after I saw the finished designs I wasn't happy with the bezel, Insert or chapter ring. I've asked them to make a full bronze insert and chapter ring version and they said they will. I decided to get the gold OSC case and do a full build instead.

Yeah i fully bronze version would be spot on like i said in the video. Will be asking them for a Bronze tuna insert because these fit the SKX to get the look i want :)

@@fr0d0scious Simple answer is yes, i have asked them for a bronze insert for this watch and they are sending on out for me to fit :). But have heard people ask before they buy and get them to do it :)

I have the Sharky Hulk homage. The case back says the movement is an NH 36 but the window only displays the date not the day. My question is would you know if the day wheel is installed in the movement?

I'm 90% sure this is a NH35 even though it states nh36. However i am planning on pulling this watch apart so will find enough soon enough :)

It's hit or miss if i'm honest, if you do then it's around £21 ontop if i recall, but even then still a steal. They do have EU stock which gets around these taxes 😃

I personally think these are a great base, need to do some investigation into things like bezel and crowns. However things like hands, dials, bezel insterts are all the same size wo will fit SKX parts. I have modded this one however more to age it then change any of the parts yet 😀

On the one i have here no, the bezel is slightly too small. The older heimdallr SKX models do and been tld they are going back to that design but on the bronze front no.

I will be looking into this soon hopefully. I have had the crystal out and the measurements look to be the same. Bezel inserts i know are the same, bezels i'm also going to try. Will be doing a video on this subject so hopefully :)

The buckle on the leather is stainless steel PVD gold not bronze.

Is it, i was under the impression it was bronze but i do like been proved wrong. Everyday is a school day they say. Is the buckle on the rubber bronze then, yet again was led to beleave it was ?

@@GrimwoodWatchModding The product page states the buckle for the turtle is PVD Gold. The product page for the bronze SKX doesn't specify the buckle material, but the buckle looks identical to the tuna so I would be surprised if it wasn't PVD Gold. I don't think Heimdallr make any bronze buckles. The green dial bronze sub has a brass buckle though.

@@OmairArif I can confirm the SKX one is also PVD. Done some patina on the case, case works and the buckle looks new so that confrims that :). Thank you for poining this out though will correct that in my follow up and put it in the description :)
