I always wonder what happens if a Nord dragonborn who was champion of all sixteen Daedric Princes dies in combat and is soul trapped. Is it just a huge free-for-all between the entire Daedric pantheon, Shor and the Ideal Masters over who gets to keep the soul?

@@MoonspiritX Not really a trick, the process of Mantling is complex but none of it was done dishonestly per se. But the nature of a Shezzarine is all kinds of crazy. In the case of the Dragonborn you mantle both Ysmir and Shor (as you can sit in his seat and the other heroes can leave after you enter the hall), the Daedra have no claim at all to an actual Aedra.

@AroAceGamer There's an implication throughout the games that in the case where there are multiple parties vested in a soul, that they will literally send emissaries to fight over the soul. Usually they end up going to the daedra, since the aedra are less willing to fight those battles, but in the case of the dragonborn it would likely be different. ESPECIALLY if the heroes of Sovngarde find out, because they would probably all go and fight for the Dragonborn.

I wish more of these quests had alternate routes where you piss off the daedric princes as much as possible. More stuff like making the black star, destroying the skull of corruption, or sealing away mehrunes razor. I wanted to let the Vigilant of Stendarr live and consecrate Molag Bal’s mace, or reject Sheogorath’s quest. Have them send dremora assassins every time I try to sleep or something, just let me tell more of the daedra to pound sand.

As much as I enjoy Skyrim it is a heavily flawed game. Not much "Roleplaying" in this RPG since a lot of quests are quite linear and the only "good" option to quests like Molag Bal's is to ignore it or outright avoid starting it to begin with.
