Hello friends. As you are losing your lake for a while, might I suggest a trip to South Carolina. I fish two bodies of water most of the time. Lake Murray is #4 on the Bassmasters top 100 lakes. For giant red ears I fish Parr Reservoir. I have literally had a day when 9 red ears caught weighed a total of 23 lbs. Four of which were over 3 lbs. Love you guys. Prayers to you and your family.

Sorting,cleaning, respooling, sharpening and generally gettting my ice fishing gear ready while watching you catch crappies. First ice ( four inches ) the crappies will be shallow ( under ten feet ) where the weeds are green under the ice. You can catch a bunch from a few holes !! It’s a blast, later in the season they’ll go deep, harder to find and catch. Then last ice they’ll go shallow and bite again!! NICE CATCH AND GREAT AREA TO FISH COLE👍

Another great video! I need your suggestion on my knot tie when use fluorocarbon leader line. I always use a uni note when fishing with a hook. What hook do you use when tying a crappie jig to your fluorocarbon leader line? I have had fluorocarbon break off at the hook with a palomar knot. Please help. Thanks!

I’d love to see you use a 1/16th wardens pink and black or just pink rooster tail on one of your slab crappie spots it’s been my go to crappie bait for years! Killer content buddy! 🔥🤞🏻

Ps I normally find them at Walmart lol.

I’ve recently found your channel and noticed you use a double jig for crappie. My home lake is Chickamauga and not hardly anyone does the double jig. I learned this 40 plus years ago and still do it today. I don’t understand why more people don’t do that. I understand certain situations require only one jig but you can double up a lot plus many other benefits to this rig. Great content and plan to enjoy your channel now that I am aware of! Thanks!

Yeah! The double rig is all I ever throw unless I’m vertical jigging in a brushpile or something. So many benefits to it! We need to come and hit up Chick this year! Thanks for watching!
@davidharris40309 ай бұрын
@@COLE_and_JAY It will really get good in the next few months on Chickamauga. Once the weather stabilizes it gets better and better. Late February and March can be epic for big largemouth.

@COLE_and_JAY11 ай бұрын
I almost always use 10lb braid, but this is actually a 6lb braid I’ve been trying out. It’s by a brand called K-9 I think.

Excellent video good job and I know you were miserable by the end of it. What brand braid are you using and what pound test and the same question for the fluorocarbon leader? 🤔 You probably already said it before but I have looked back and can't find it.

I’m using 6lb K-9 braid in this video and using 6lb trout magnet sos line for leader. I normally always use 10lb braid but I’ve been trying this out!

@@COLE_and_JAY I appreciate it because I've been looking for a 5 or 6 lb braid and I'll look at this K-9. Thanks 👍
