For me, a orchestra is all about the instruments, their dynamics and the emotions through the harmony. Doom eternal, otherwise, or as i like to call it, argent metal, is all about synths, noises, growls and energy. And i love it. They don't match at all, but a mid-term, as you did, is awesome.
