So many music documentaries contain much more chat than they contain the actual music. This documentary is right on the mark with succinct well-spoken commentary and ample (and excellent) musical segments. Plus I’m so excited to learn the actual names of the multiple tunes I have learned through the years, for all of which I have only known by the generic title of “Lad O’Beirne’s.” (I guess the same pattern holds true for the many tunes by Cuz Teahan, Junior Crehan, Paddy Ryan et al).

Thanks Johnnie that's a really accurate sentiment, we just wanted to hear the music and fill in the gaps with expert musicians.

Yes Peter, it's a sad place now. I fear the house may not last that much longer, but it was good to record that sequence for the film.
