I can testify to this message. I compromise and was unequally yoked to an unbeliever. This caused me years of pain that I'm still trying to recover from. It's not worth it and God's word is really a light to your feet. I've learn that obedience to God's word is a key to life. It's my aim to let young people know the consequences of compromising and not trusting and obeying God. I'm thankful that God never left me as I don't know where I would be without Him never leaving nor forsaking me through the painful lessons learned.

Thank you Pastor Daniel for preaching on this Subject. Just like you mentioned we must know satisfaction in him before we can get satisfaction anywhere else. Amen 🙏

Wow. “Be open to how God can make your heart flutter.” This was powerful and much needed for singles. A neglected group within the church. I will only marry a man in The Lord if God wants me to serve Him and be blessing to Him through marriage. There is a joy in serving with the gifts God has given. What better relationship to use those God given giftings then to advance each other in ministry, sanctification and personally through a God ordained marriage. In the long term view that marriage is temporary and the person God has given you is also part of your ministry in this life. I loved the focus on making the most of our time in singleness for Gods mission. This life is a gift! Thank you Father God! May I be pleasing to you. If it be your will, may I serve the man you ordain in a way that honors him and my God. 🙏

Brother Daniel, While I agree with much (but certainly not all) of what you said, I have to add that you have absolutely no idea what it’s like to be a 61 year old single (never married) man (good looking, physically fit, intelligent, successful, etc.) that has been serving God since my mid-20’s, & praying for a Godly spouse for close to four (4) DECADES, to no avail. I can’t begin to explain the pain, discouragement, frustration, doubt, etc. Meanwhile, I carry on as a second class citizen in the church, as I watch 25 year old “kids” get blessed with what I’ve been praying for for DECADES (…I didn’t say years, I said DECADES). It just doesn’t seem right. Also, it’s very sad that so many married Christians treat their single brothers & sisters so horribly.

Is suffering because of long term singleness allowed in the church? Is to express any hurt from this a sin ? Sermons like this seem very deep and concerned on the surface but very cold and dismissive of the consequences of having a life long desire that is never realized. There is something empathetic missing.
