Hey, first of all thanks for taking the request and playing Breakers. I actually just wanted to find out how premade dung holes would fare against Cell with his new change. I actually enjoyed that match because I seriously wanted premades to be beaten the crap out of by the same kind of exploitational nonsense they practice. It was great watching Cell constantly Kamehameha AoE them. They were even mocking you at one point but all died by your hand. I would like see more of that to be honest but I understand the wait times are horrendous now so it's not worth the stream time.

7:28:56 I’m a fan of dark souls 2. I found it very frustrating when it came out and dropped it after the iron keep. Came back to it after ds3 and now I find replaying it relaxing. 😌 I also think all 3 DLCs are excellent and very much inline with normal FROM quality. 8:58:43 for the Shelob fight use a torch. Keeps the baby spiders away.

The synth man has a point about games being less creative generally now. It felt like the xbox 360 era was the last time new and exciting stuff was coming out constantly and that's not just nostalgia. Even Ubisoft which is the peak of mediocrity now did interesting things like Black Flag. The most interesting stuff these days seems like it's from small devs in Eastern Europe like Underrail or something.

Afraid of Monsters: Director's Cut(Half-Life 1 mod) is a great game that mixes action and horror very well. The first hospital level is such a confusing maze, but it gets better after that. maybe you should try it when doing a horror stream.

Since the topic of late seems to be SLOP, what bad games have you chuds played recently? For myself, when I had a gamepass subscription last year, I tried out firewatch and life is strange: true colours. Firewatch was a mostly boring walking simulator with reddit-tier writing. They were building up to something only for it to have an absolute nothingburger of an ending with no payoff whatsoever. At least it was short so the suffering ended within a reasonable time. True colours was fat portlander walking simulator with uninteresting powers, weak writing and lots of "diversity." Like firewatch, the ending was somewhat of a disappointment as well (not nearly as bad but still not good). At least it had a few moments of unintentional hilarity, especially THAT moment that involves the MC's brother. I laughed out loud for a good while when it happened. Synth streamed the game a while back so you guys can go check it out to see what I'm talking about.

@@Flyon86 Ah yes, Control. I had that gifted to me not too long ago but I haven't gotten around to playing it because of how incredibly difficult it is to look at the main character's face. She seriously looks like Christoph Waltz in drag. The worst part is that there are no mods to fix that face either. I might do it when I build a new PC as a stress test since the game's got some pretty advanced technical feature sets, but I'm going to keep a puke bucket nearby for those awful close-ups of her ghastly visage. Oh, that reminds me... Another slop game I played while I had gamepass was remedy's previous game before control, Quantum Break. The windows store version is utterly broken so despite being a last generation game, the performance even on midrange 2020 PC is TERRIBLE. Oh, and the live action segments in between each of the chapters don't load anymore so I had to resort to watching them on youtube every time the game attempted to play them. Speaking of which, the flipping between TV serial-like segments and gameplay just didn't work at all. Sam Lake needs to stop with this stuff, he's a cringe-inducing tryhard who is desperate to get hollywood's attention, much like kojima. The extra "LORE" or whatever (like e-mails, files, etc) was crap as well. Some of them are the length of short stories, as if these hack writers couldn't get a real job so now they're trying waaay too hard on things nobody cares enough about. The most important part, i.e. the gameplay, is sadly also terrible. The powers are basic, the shooting and weapon variety are weak, and the cover system is absolute jank. Story was somewhat okay only because I like time travel stuff, but I couldn't care less about any of the characters so it's kind of a wash. tl;dr quantum break is slop for many reasons

@@Shieftain Yeah, the actress the Control MC is based on looks kinda weird irl but the game model makes her look even more uncanny valley/masculine. Also yeah the lore stuff is 80% boring and useless. Never tried quantum break but I have Alan Wake 1 on my steam account and never tried it.

@@Flyon86 Here's the funny part. She's also in quantum break, and while her face still looks somewhat off (because that's just how she looks IRL as you mentioned) she looks nowhere as bad. All they had to do was take her character model from quantum break, change the hair somewhat, add some touch-ups here and there to bring it up to par with 2019's tech, and that's it. Instead, they beat her with an ugly stick so hard that there's nothing left but splinters. On top of that, the character model's physique is awful, which is at complete odds with the IRL actress because she's quite fit. They absolutely went out of their way to make jesse as hard to look at as possible. The head of their art department either has to be a space-toucan or is someone who is ugly inside and out. As for Alan Wake 1, I played it a very long time ago and I thought it was okay back then. Maybe my opinion would be different if I tried it now. The DLC however was absolute BS because they essentially make you do the same series of events THREE TIMES. They use the tired old plot device of "time loop" or something like that to justify it. Poorly, might I add.

Once you know what you're doing dark souls isn't that hard. A lot of the difficulty is figuring out the game mechanics. If you haven't played souls at all play ds1 blind without any guides and you'll see what I mean.
